Dell Axim - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
XP is no longer maintained by MS or computer manufacturers! buying old pc's, older than Windows 7, will not even work with the internet anylonger. you have to get a newer machine because not only software but hardware is not compatible. ask a pc smart retailer(seller) or repair which pc and OS system you can get on the cheap

Couple of options.
1) Try another mouse--does it do same? If not, now put your first mouse back--does it still scroll?
2) Sign out of your account and sign back in.
3) Mouse settings - turn auto scroll off, reboot, turn auto scroll back on.

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted. When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead. If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned. One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some good file recovery software. One I used to use is this
data recovery program which you can download from site below

Hi, The problem with pocket PC is that you can't do something to test and find if the problem comes from the display or the graphic processor. If the device is not too old, you can try to repair it. In case that the device is more than 10 years, buy a new one. Sorry.

A few of the service providers have GPS software that you can purchase and activate even though the phone is no longer in your posession. If I were you, I would contact Dell and then your internet provider and ask them if they can assist you with locating your pocket pc.

the only way to install windows mobile on your axim x51v is to get ahold of a ROM specifically for that model. the operating system is still only in beta testing so even if you do find the ROM there will be no support and it could be buggy. If you can find a ROM you just have to put it on a 1 or 2 gig SD card. it cannot be an SDHC card. then you press the power button, reset button on the back and the wireless button on the side all at the same time. this should start the ROM loader. just select the ROM on the card. it will then proceed to install it. you want to have the PDA plugged into AC power for this.
note that this process can be risky and if something does go wrong your PDA may be ruined and your on your own.

Stewart,
You may need to replace the battery in the system. I am not sure if Dell has any parts still available for the Axim. You can call Dell Spare Parts at 1-877-717-3355. If they do not have parts you could search the internet.
Thank You,
