Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You
To erase the current content of your player, go to the Settings menu, then System,
then Erase Internal (or External) Storage. This will remove all current content on the player. Remember to back up your files first if
needed! To view photos you've uploaded to the player, press Menu, then Photos and select the photo you wish to view from the list. More details can be found in the owner's manual.
You do it the same way that you delete music: Press your top right button to display the menu ("Settings", "recording", etc.). Roll your wheel to "Video"; press the navigational part of the scroll wheel to highlight the video that you want to delete. You'll then get options to "play", Add Now Playing, Play All, etc. At the bottom of those choices you will see the word, "delete". Scroll down to it and press the navigational button to highlight it. It will indicate a "No". and a "Yes". Scroll to "yes" and press the navigational button to delete it.
Press button round one near top right side, Go to Folder browser, rotating wheel then press select button, in center of wheel. rotate around and you find all your folders on device, press select and drill down inside of each folder, you soon see all you music.
One inside the music folder, scroll with wheel to find names of files you want to delete press select button, it will ask you to, Play, Delete, Etc......
Might be caused by an error in the memory partition. Try completely wiping the memory:
1) Hold down the menu button while holding the On/Off slider to the On position. 2) You should get a menu that says "Erase Internal Memory" with two options: Yes and No. Choose No.
It will delete everything on it and start from factory settings. From there, just treat it like it's brand new. Hope that helps!
Unfortunately this model does not currently appear to have support for the FLAC lossless format, and does not have any updates available through the manufacturer's website at this time.
According to information provided by Insignia, the only file formats that the 8GB Pilot currently supports are MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WMA DRM, WMA Pro, OGG, WAV, Audible, MPEG4 (30fps), WMV (30fps) and JPEG.
k, to erase internal memory do this: 1-Turn off device. 2-Hold power to start but keep it held + the menu button, hold those UNTIL the menu comes up. 3-let go of the switch and button and scroll to 'erase internal memory.
