Insignia Sport MP3 Player Questions & Answers
Videos off of you tube
Unfortunately You Tube doesn't have a way of putting videos onto another player. It's only designed to play back on portable phones like Blackberrys, Iphones, and G1s. Can playback on series 3 Tivos as well.
Cant convert music from mp3 player to computer
MP3 is a format recognized by all computers.
What type of player you have? You may need a specific way to connect or specialized software to transfer song from the player onto your computer.
I have the Insignia sport
If your subscribtion to rapsody (or best buy, whatever they call it) digital music store ran out it will do that to any song you got from the store until you renew your subscription. Try putting a song on there that you own (you didn't download from rapsody) and it should play. I wouldn't bother renewing the subscription though, the store has a poor library (I couldnt' even find don't worry, be happy). Just download your songs from limewire
My player won't turn on
If you are inclined to be adventurous I would try opening it up and check if the battery still has any voltage on it with a multimeter. (Shere is a little shield shaped sticker on the back that covers a screw for the battery cover). Since the battery died on mine about a year ago I have been running my Sport from a set of 4 AAA NiMH rechargeable cells. The fact that it does not respond to the PC suggests that the USB
connector may have gotten damaged so it is not making a proper
connection to charge the battery anymore. If you have this problem you are
probably out of luck, unless you are good with a soldering iron and can
replace the connector on the PCB - It is a very common type. But check with another USB cable first, (like I said, a very common type) AND make sure there is no damage to the connectors at the PC end.
Good luck!

Hello,
I believe your mp3 player is Insignia..... If yes, carefully follow the instructions below;
- Connect your Insignia player to a USB port on your computer using the USB cable.
- Download, install and run Rhapsody if you do not already have the software, click here; http://www.rhapsody.com/-software
- Click "File," then "New Playlist" to create a playlist in Rhapsody.
- Create a name for the playlist.
- Drag songs from your music library called "My Library" to the playlist
you just created. You have to drag the songs onto the playlist name for
them to appear.
- Sync the playlist from Rhapsody to your Insignia player. Go to "Tools,"
"Preferences" and then "Devices." Find your Insignia player and click
"OK." A sync window will appear.
- Click "OK" to sync your playlist to the Insignia player.
I hope you find the above helpful.
Good luck.
