Check the drain hose. if the end of the hose is too low it will siphon water continously while the washer is trying to fill and will cause the problem you describe.

Can not tell you what the beeps mean because you did not tell us what model washer you have. Sounds like a problem with the water inlet valve sticking open.
the water soleniod has went bad pull out washer look to where water lines hook up to it turn of water to them then remove hoses unplug machine remove the soleniod valves make sure you write down the wiring order and hose placement on something get new valves replace rehook water line turn on water ect.
make sure the drain hose is higher than the washer tub sounds dumb i know but if the drain hose is left lying on the floor going into a floor drain or something it will not fill up
Hello, fill the washing machine with water and when the water is about 1/2 full of water, unplug the washers power cord from the wall outlet.if the water keeps flowing into the washing machine with the power cord pulled the "fill valve"(where the hot and cold hoses are attached to the washer) has mechanically stuck open and will have to be replaced. if the water shuts off when you remove it's power cord from the wall outlet, try plugging the washer in and out a couple more times and if the water stops each time the fill valve indicates as being good.
Teresa, the water fill is usually a timed fill and the float assy. is a safety device to cut power to the fill valve in the event the dishwasher keeps filling. ( In most models). Sounds like your initial fill is just above the float lever actuator and dripping. Check the level of the dishwasher to make sure that the water is not higher toward the front. Catriver..post back.
