Text becomes unreadable after one page of printing
When printing a document, the first page prints fine and then the print becomes illegible (faded and blurry) on subsequent pages. If I print on a higher quality setting, the text fades completely. This only occurs with the black ink which has a nearly full cartridge. HELP!

If the colors on printed and copied documents are too light, blurry or not as bright as expected follow the steps listed below: 1. Verify the toner save mode is turned Off. When you set the toner save feature to On, print appears lighter. a. Press Menu, 1 (General Setup), 6 (Ecology), 1 (Toner Save). b. Press the up or down arrow key to select OFF and then press OK. c. Press Stop/Exit. 2. Print a document from your computer or print a demo page by pressingthe FAX and COPY keys at the same time.
That printer is pretty old. Are you selecting "Best" quality when you print or is it possible that some documents are being printed in Quick Print mode (which puts less ink on the page)? If you're doing the same thing on each print job but the print quality changes, there's definitely a problem. If you're printing from web pages, the print quality may be a factor of the design of the pages. If you print two pages of a multi-page document and quality declines, you should be able to get help through Lexmark's technical support.
I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded. If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded. What can I do to correct this problem? Thank you TT
