you need the driver suitable for the operation system that yo are using in the desktop...you can download it from the Hp support page ..by browsing the driver download for the model of te printer you have ..and choosing the operation system ..after that run the newly downloaded driver in the computer ...plug the printer ...power it up ...and restart ..it will work just fine ..
Have you verified that the cartridges indeed do work in color? You can print a self-test by holding in the feed button for about five seconds until the printer begins activity.
Are you using remanufactured cartridges? If you are, I would strongly recommend only using HP factory ones.
