No more colours...

I have two 895 Cxi connected to my PC. They use the same driver (OS = XP Prof). Suddenly both the printers stop print colours. Cartridgres are OK/. Heads are clean. Can it be the driver who fails ? I don't find anymore (on the Web) a new XP-driver for this printertype..... Quid ?

You give a really stupid answer. Yes my cartridges are OK and are HP. Both printers worked correctly. And then stop print in colors. When I run a selftest : no colors are printed.

My color cartridge on my Deskjet 895cse seemed to be going out - I changed it, with my usual remanufactured one from 123 inkjets.com - I still can not get some colors to print, some print on test pages, and some don't . Tried cleaning as per the manual, now all I get is yellows and whites are tests - I will contact 123 inkjets, perhaps a bad replacement cartridge, but I have never had that from the before.

Also, I had the printer serviced once years ago, what is the function of the pad thing to the right when you open up the printer?  I see a lot of crud in there - what would that cause?

Have you verified that the cartridges indeed do work in color? You can print a self-test by holding in the feed button for about five seconds until the printer begins activity. Are you using remanufactured cartridges? If you are, I would strongly recommend only using HP factory ones.
