Converted OS from Win 2000 back to Win 98 2nd Ed. Need Video Driver to adjust resolution. Need Ethernet Driver for internet connection to Comcast (ISP).

Can u upgrade it to just Win 2000, there is an in built driver for ur Ethernet, and speed up ur internet too!

Before connecting the ethernet cable to the back of your Playstaion3 hold the modem reset button for 15 seconds, when 15 secs are up connect the ethernet cable to your ps3 system, wait until tour Comcast High Speed Internet goes online again (all the lights are showing fine) then try setting up your Playstation connection settings again, it might work since now you have reseted your modem and the modem will send information to new device, I hope this information works for you, :)

No you can not directly connect using the usb connection.

You need to connect either wireless through a router or you need a wii LAN adapter to connect with the Ethernet cord.

first you dont need to send money just do these steps,if in device manager is in yelow that means that you do not have instaled the proper drivers for them you should search for drivers and simply reinstal or if you have the cd with put it in the drive and go in device manager then click update driver.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the port on the Comcast modem to the WAN port on the Berklin (Belkin????) router.
Use another Ethernet cable to connect one of the LAN ports on the router to the Ethernet port on your computer.
Start Internet Explorer on your computer.
Connect to the web-interface inside the router.
Run the "network setup wizard".
Run the "wireless setup wizard".

Your problem is that the correct video driver is not installed and therefore cannot use all the video RAM.(the XP version of the video driver won't work with Win98).
When you adjust to True color at a higher resolution it drops to a lower resolution because it has insufficent video RAM, but you will get a higher screen resolution at a 16 bit color because it requires less memory (video RAM).
Install the Win98 driver for the graphics card and then it can use the full video RAM at a higher screen resolution with 32 bit color.
