Prints only on a small portion of the page

Try:

Brother strongly recommends that customers use only genuine Brother drum units and/or toner cartridges. Drum replaced light keeps flashing

When the print quality deteriorates and the drum light is flashing you can replace teh drum but the light will continue to flash until you reset it. Do this by opening the front of the printer and holding down the Go button for about 4 seconds until all four lights on the display are illuminated. It should be fine after that.

2. press the MENU button repeatedly until the MAINTENANCE MENU is desplayed, then press the SELECT button.
3. Press the item button until DRUM COUNT RESET is displayed.
4. Press the SELECT button and the Drum Counter is reset.

Hope this helps.
