Hi,

"Out of range" message indicates that the output from your computer to display it from your Samsung HLR5064W DLP TV is too large. You need to adjust the screen resolution settings for you TV. I have attached images of display settings dialog boxes from different versions of Windows.

trying to connect dell desktop - mongkey_0.gif mongkey_45.jpg mongkey_46.jpg
You may open the display settings of your computer by clicking on START > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY. While your TV is connected, click on IDENTIFY button. You will notice that numbers 1 and 2 will appear briefly on your screens consecutively. As the dialog box shows 2 monitors with numbers 1 and 2, click on the monitor with "2" on it. Then, adjust resolution to 1280 x 720 as this is the highest resolution your TV can handle. You may adjust the TV (monitor #2) to be IDENTICAL or to EXTEND the display of your computer. You can also assign it as the main monitor but not recommended. Click OK then try to toggle your computer's display. You should be able to see a display from your TV this time.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

How can i connect my dell inspiron 1721 to my tv samsung led

If your Samsung TV has a VGA input then connect a VGA cable to the TV and the other end of this cable to the video port on your Dell laptop. Turn on your TV and select the VGA (computer) input then boot up your Dell laptop.and then the video data from the laptop will automatically divert to the TV.
You can toggle between the TV and laptop LCD screen by holding down on the Fn key and press the F8 key.

How to hook up Dell laptop to Samsung Dlp tv?

Your Dell D620 only has a VGA Port for output to a external monitor or tv. Your TV will need to have a VGA Port too, otherwise you will need some type of adapter that goes between the laptop and the tv to convert to the type of connection the tv has (svideo, hdmi, dvi, etc.)

One you have the two connections set up to communicate with each other, just select the input source on the tv (pc, computer, hdmi, etc) and then reboot the computer if the image is not show.

After rebooting if the image is not shown, then you will need to toggle the display by some keystrokes. Press and Hold the Fn function key at the lower left hand portion of the keyboard, then hit the F8 key which toggles the display to be either on the laptop only, tv only, both the laptop and tv.

We are trying to set up a dual monitor system so that we cn watch movies via the pc [not laptop] we have plugged in all the cables but still zilch

if you want to set up a dual tv monitor system using via pc as a source you will need a VGA splitter usually 2 or more output. now how are you going to connect the 2 monitor and PC to the VGA splitter. first make sure your tv monitor is supported by service input for PC unit. then prepare the accessories needed. the VGA splitter and VGA cable. vinceisaac_30.jpg vinceisaac_31.jpg sample image for VGA splitter VGA cable or connector how are you going to hook up the splitter and VGA cable to the tv monitor and PC
  • you need 3 vga connector and 1 splitter to connect a dual monitor system.
  • connect one end of the vga connector to the pc unit and the other end to the input port of splitter.
  • now the 2 remaining vga connector connect to the output of splitter either of the port, then the 2 end wire you must connect to the input port ( pc service port ) of the 2 tv monitor. make sure you set up the right input either with the remote or at the tv unit to recognized the pc source.
  • you almost done the connections now at this point plug the tv monitors, plug the dc adapter supply of the vga splitter and lastly turn on the pc unit to view movies. i hope it will help you just ask me if you have further questions thanks for choosing the fixya.

Im having problems with my samsung tv the power keep going off and on

  • 1 Check the power. Don't be embarrassed if your problem is as simple as an unplugged power cord. It's better that you should discover this than pay a repair technician to come out to your house and find out.
  • 2 Isolate the problem. The main troubles that will crop up with a TV set are either no picture, no sound or both.
  • 3 Check the input setting on your remote control. If you have other devices connected to the TV, such as a video game system, those devices must be used with a different input setting than the input you use for watching programs or movies on a DVD or Blu-Ray player. Chances are, the kids were playing a game and forgot to turn the input back the way it was.
  • 4 Press the Input button on your remote control to return to the setting you wish to use. For example, the cable box might be connected to Input 1 and your DVD player might be connected to Input 2. Newer television sets have at least 3 inputs.
  • 5 Check the coaxial connection from your cable or satellite receiver to the television. The cable should be attached securely by twisting the round lock nut clockwise. Also check the power connections for the satellite or cable receiver. If either is unplugged, you won't receive a programming signal on the TV.
  • 6 Make sure the video cable is securely attached to the TV jack if you have a home theater system. The video cable runs from the Video Out jack on your home theater receiver to the Video In jack on the back of your TV.
  • 7 Check your receiver setting. Home theater receivers manage several components, so if you have the receiver set to operate the CD player but you are trying to watch a movie on your Blu-Ray player, you'll need to change the selection to Blu-Ray to watch the movie on your TV.
  • 8 Check the TV speakers to see whether they have been muted by accident. Press the volume button on your remote control or go to the Menu section and scroll down until you reach TV Speakers. Toggle left or right to turn the speakers on or off.
  • 9 Press the speaker button on your receiver to make sure your external home theater speakers are activated. Many home theater systems use external for their superior audio rather than the speakers inside a television
  • pls rate or vote on how helpful it works.

We watched a dvd movie and now when the tv is turned on the screen has words Video and Connect the A/v jacks we did not change anything

There's a button on most remotes to toggle between the TV and Video (for VCR or DVD). You've probably hit the TV/Video button on your remote control so it's on Video. On the Samsung TV, that button brings up the "Video - Connect the A/V jacks" message. Try hitting that button again.

Mitsubishi WD-52631 shadows and blurs in dark lit movies

If you are getting the same problem with both TV monitors it could then be assumed it's an input problem to the TV monitor. If you are using a digital output from your receiver it could be the cabling. If you are using an analog output from your receiver it is probably coming from the receiver.
Digital video processing does have issues with darker scenes.
Can you try another video source seperate from the receiver like a DVD or better yet an analog VHS, if you still have one. Good luck and let me know.
