Sounds like the color wheel is not turning properly. I would recommend calling 1-800-samsung to set up repair with an authorized service center. I would not try to replace it yourself. The part costs $120.00- $180.00.

If you can access the three projector lenses you will probably find them covered in dust, this shifts the light slightly giving a blurry 3D effect on the screen. Clean the dust off with lens tissue and window cleaner or a cleaner made for glasses and this will restore your picture.

Sounds like light engine or DMD board is going out. Is it on all inputs? when did it start doing; after a move, part being replaced, power outage etc? Does the menu screen have the same issue?
Samsung hlp4663 stand by light
I recently had this issue on my Samsung HL-R4667W. Did the new lamp (phillips) but it still wouldn't light up and was flashing the lamp light and then stanby. I started to remove the rear covers of the TV thinking maybe the wheel or ballast finally gave out. After removing the lower cover I noticed a wire hanging at a unusual angle from a circuit board. I touched it and it fell off. Traced the wire back to the main control board and found that it was a ground wire. I re-soldered it to the board and the TV fired right up. My other lamp was fine too. I hadn't moved the TV in 4 years and only once since I bought it in 2006 so I can't think of anything that would cause it to come loose short of bad soldering from the assembly line. That was a year ago and it works fine still.
