Use Google or Bing and search for an HDMI to VGA with audio adapter. Be careful not to mistake the VGA with audio to HDMI adapter. They are not the same device and some internet locations have very limited descriptions and can be confusing.

DMD Control Module is flaking.
Could
be getting hot if the fan has been compromised by dust. Take the back
off. Clean everything with a brushy on the vac hose. Tape the cover
switch shut and power up. Check for proper fan operation. Both should
spin equal and quiet. May be too late for DMD Control board, though.
Check fan 3 comes on samsung DLP tv
Its a tiny fan inside the silver cabinet where all the plug in jacks are. It keeps the pc boards in the cabinet cool. Most of the time you can blow out the dust in the fan with canned air. If this doesnt work, you will need to replace it. Partsstore.com carries them. You have to get the exact match since the TV reads the amperage so computer cooling fans wont work.
My HLN467W/HLN567W TV won't turn
This is an older model projection tv that uses a bulb to generate the light for the screen. It's normal that the bulb wears out after all these years - it should have been replaced before complete failure. If the inverter/ballast board (the one that powers the bulb) has been fried when it failed it's normal that the tv refuses to turn on - if it would do that the damage would become a lot greater.
Now the damage is done. To fix it the tv must be opened and the boards, starting with the power source and the inverter ones, tested. This is something only an experienced repairman can do, you will have to find and call one . It will be expensive, around $750 , or even more if you were unlucky and some other board was fried when the bulb failed. You now have to decide it the tv is worth all this money or you just cut your loses and buy a new one.
