I have had very good luck cleaning dried or clogged printheads by using a waterpick. The litle pressure washer for your teeth. Just wash the nozzles with the waterpick. Sort of a miniture pressure washer. It can get you wet so its best to hold the cartrige in some sort of container to prevent getting to wet. Wash long enough to dislodge the dried ink, or soak the cartrige for a while befor cleaning.
We bought a Vax Rapide Carpet Cleaner and were disappointed with it's performance as we couldn't see it spraying the cleaning soltion onto the carpet. I found there was no pump and gravity was all that put the solution on via a sparge pipe, controlled by a trigger-operated valve. So, all that happened was an intermittent sort-of dribbling. The cleaner picked -up quite well, though and we sprayed the carpet using a separate hand-held sprayer.
Things to do make sure despencer draw is clean and the rubber door seal is clean do a maintenance cycle every year this is the hottest wash cycle with cleaning detergent. also leaving the door open after cycle will help hope this helps
Your washer has too much build up of sludge from excessive use of detergent and fabric softener. You will need to purchase a package of washer machine cleaner from the local hardware store and run the washer on either "clean tub" setting or "sanitary" setting without any clothes in it. Use the cleaner at least once a week for one month and then once a month for maintenance.
Use only 2 tablespoons of detergent per wash.
Good luck

You can use denatured alcohol from the drugstore to clean the heads. Rubbing alcohol from the drugstore works too, just not as well because it contains more water.
Do not apply any sort of lubricant to anything in the tape path.
It appears your vibration dampers have failed in this instance and should be replaced.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
