GE WASHER MODEL #WBSR3140G0WW: TEETH ON CONTROL

I suspect that a mounting tab has broken off the timer. Take the four torx head screws off the back edge of the top of the washer and open up the backsplash to confirm this. I manufacture a make shift Z shaped metal part to hold the timer in place without having to replace the timer.

Doesn't enter spin cycle automatically. If I place into spin by hand then it will begin spin. What is wrong and how do I repair it?

your machine isnt empty of water by the pump in a timely manner so its an outlet blockage check at the machine the pump and the outlet too the waist at the sink you can find if you have kids they post things too be cleaned into the soap drawer like lego monopoly hotels and houses nintendo plastic wands and many other things if you post too the drawer then this stuff end up inbetween the inner drum and outer skin and ends up floating around and sometimes never ends up in the filter so you sometimes need to fully drain the machine and remove the heating element from the drum and fish around inside for grandma's socks or barbes best clothes or your lost garments...

What could be wrong if my ge model wbsrr3140d5ww wont spin ?

Does the pump empty the tub if so your low water sensor is bad if it does not empty the tub then your pump is plugged up or bad.

The washer will spin slowly both directions, agitate, and drain but will not spin full speed at the end of the cycle. Any suggestions?

Your low water sensor is probably bad that would keep it from going in to final extract.

My used washer makes a bang win it goes to wash after the soak cycle. It looks like it is missing springs in the bottom lower front between the motor basket and chassis. Is this suppose to have spring

washing machine normally have 2-3 springs on top of the drum and 2-3 shock absorbers supporting the drum from underneath, check one of the shock absorbers has not become detached from the drum or cabinet.

I have a WBSR3140G1WW GE washer. I have notice

It sure sounds like a relay switch, the reason its coming on when you unplug is something reset so its not broke yet. I would replace the door switch anyway.

It does not spin

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Check this link to replace the inlet valve:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.
