I have Windows 7 on my laptop and my cd that came with my computer does not support Windows 7 for my printer.

It might be that the printer is not compatible with Windows 7. However Windows 7 has a compatibility Mode Feature
To Do This follow the steps at the bottom
1. Insert the Printer Disc
2. Click Start > Click Computer > Right Click on the Printer CD > Click Open/Explore
3. Right Click on Autorun.exe or Setup.exe and Click on Properties

Is this printer on the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility list for your computer/operating system? Do you have the latest software? Are you properly connected?

Attemping to install software that came with the printr and computer wont see printer ... I have recently received a new computer at home and am just now attemping to install printer onto computer screen....

Need to know a bit more. Is this an older printer? It may not be compatible with your computer/OS. Try checking with your Operating System to see if it is compatible with the printer. Go to Windows Help to find out more about printer conflicts and compatibilities.

I own a Lexmark z55 printer and every time i even attempt to print something the computer reads "The printer cannot communicate with the computer."

There are lots of possible reasons why it's happening.

1. Printer compatibility - Make sure that the printer is compatible with the operating system of your computer.

2. Correct driver - Be sure that you installed the correct printer driver for the printer to the computer.

3. Printer connection - check if the printer is properly connected to the computer.

4. Printer settings - Go to the printer properties and make sure that your printer is set as the default printer.

You may refer to the user manual for trouble-shooting guide.

I am having difficulty installing my HP Deskjet Printer on A Toshiba P200 series Equium it doesn't appear to be compatible, willI I need to buy a new printer?

Printers are compatible with all computers; however the printer software must be designed for the operating system (ie Win98 or XP). Go to the following site, and enter your printer model number.

Look for drivers or other sofware that is compatible with your operating system
