SOURCE: anti flood device has activated on my zanussi

The anti flood activates when water (even a small amount) appears on the bottom of the machiene. This is usualy a leaking pipe but can also be caused by a clogged pipe. Most machiens do have a plastic pipe that (from the flat water tank) feeds water to the bottom of the machiene in case of an internal fault. The anti flood is normaly a polystireen float with micro switch on the base of the washer. This automatically puts the outlet pump on to drain the water.

The answer is that you don't reset the anti-flood device. The anti-flood device re-sets itself when there is no risk of a leak. I don't really understand why you emptied the salt tank . . . ?

I cannot help you any further than this as you haven't specified your brand and model of dishwasher. If you can post these, I will try try to help further - if it's a model I support.

The anti flood device has activated on my AEG dishwasher????

If the anti-flood device has activated on your AEG dishwasher, it means that water has leaked into the base of the dishwasher and triggered the safety device. The anti-flood device is designed to prevent water damage to your home and shut off the water supply to the dishwasher.
To resolve this issue, you will need to locate the source of the leak and fix it. Here are the steps you can take:
  1. Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Disconnect the dishwasher from the water supply and move it away from the wall.
  3. Check the inlet hose, outlet hose, and drainage hose for any cracks, damage, or loose connections. Tighten any loose connections and replace any damaged hoses.
  4. Check the dishwasher door and gasket for any damage or debris that may prevent it from closing properly.
  5. Check the dishwasher's interior for any leaks, such as a cracked spray arm or a damaged pump.
  6. Once you have fixed the leak, you can reset the anti-flood device by tilting the dishwasher to one side to allow the water to drain out of the base. Then, level the dishwasher and plug it back in.
If you are unable to identify or fix the leak, it is recommended to call a professional technician for assistance.

Bush. What does code F1 indicate?

Flood Sensor has been activated. A leak has dripped into the flood pan.

F1 indicates water has leaked in the base of appliance and activated the anti-flood device. You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out. Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

Hello

Most faults can be referred to the fact that the Anti Flood Overflow device has activated.

Modern day dishwashers like those manufactured that have a built in safety feature protecting the dishwasher against flooding. The technical term is 'Anti Flood Device'.

In the base of the dishwasher in the plinth there is a float switch. This is your 'Anti Flood Device'. In the event of your dishwasher over filling, the plinth fills with water, the float rises and actuates the switch.

Firstly, it will send a signal to the programmer device to notify there is a fault and output a message in the form of a code to some sort of display.

Secondly, the pressure switch acts as the water level indicator for the sump of the dishwasher so when the water level rises the pressure switch will activate the drain pump.

So before you consider throwing good money at new dishwasher, try doing a bit of fault finding your self and you might save yourself a ton of money.

Whirlpool dihwasher adp 4552. Water comes into dishwasher, appears to start cycle then water is drained out again and light flashes to show a problem!

This is a typical anti flood activation due to the anti flood device (polystireen float and micro switch) at the base of the washer detecting a water leak / spill. This device puts the washer in pump out mode. Check to see if water at the base is causing the polystireene float to activate the switch. Dry the water and rectify the fault (normally a leaky pipe or pipe clamp) and this should solve the problem.

Machine not starting ...Programme Progress Display light flashing

This normaly indicates an error code. Could be the anti flood device activated due to water leaks etc. The anti flood device (polystireene float and micro switch at base of machiene) puts the washer on pump out mode and shuts off the inlet water. Dry the water at the floor of the washer and check and rectify any leaks.
