It works ok with Ethernet (a key fact ) steps taken. I failed to say this is XP. oops. I skipped the obvious testing the wifi of "AIrport" using other good devices, like other PC or CELL phone using wifi to the Airport. BIOS WIFI was off, now turned on. The light next to the wireless switch on the side isn't on and I don't get the usual IP address- That means wifi card bad or the cards drivers are missing. I'm using a 2Wire 2701 HG-B (AT/T DSL modem) and it was recently received as a replacement for the last one, which began to power cycle when I used WiFi, but worked fine when I was hard-wired with my Dell Vostro or my old desktop. I see signal strength on the task bar and when I use the Inssider RF utility. (I recently downloaded XP SP3 and now, I have problems.) edited for clarity.
