Either you have 50 gigs of stuff on there or your hard drive space is not being properly read. U might need to reformat the drive if necessary.
Meanwhile your xbox electronics may have a limit on the size of space - so if the drive has 200 gigs of space on it and your unit will only recognize 32 gigs, then that is all it sees and can use. Capiche?
This is a hardware problem but since you can't access to the removable you have to order a new one making sure the warranty of your product is still valid
go here And download for windows. You see most companies like you to download the software from their website for older operating systems for your computer to recognize it. Thanks, Cody
The video you want to play must be in the correct format and your tv must be USB compatible to read off of the usb. If you have an Xbox, or Wii and put XBMC on it, it should be able to play various video types such as .avi, .mov, and etc.
If you get no joy using the Troubleshooting Guide then try this...
You will need to check You Tube to find a Dismantle on your product and follow the step guide on here, the procedure should be similar.
My neighbour has the Seagate FreeAgent Desk 500GB, and in under 2 weeks it started to beep and was not reconized by any Laptop or P.C. if this is the same for you with any FreeAgent Desk series ( not GO series, different procedure for GO products). I would be tempted to format the drive using the disk utility whch can
be found under applications and then utilities once opened choose your
drive in the left hand window and on the right hand side click on
erase. If you are using the Seagate drive for the Mac only, format it as a Mac OS Extended (journaled) Choose your volume format and name and then erase. Hope this
helps.
