My JVC KD-G400 keeps switching between CD and Radio indescriminitely. This is extremely annoying as it interrupts what I'm listening to until it determines that I don't have a CD inserted. I've had the radio for some years and the problem is a recent one. Did I mention that the manual that came with the radio is for the KD-G300! I tried to reset following the directions in the manual but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

as far as i know jvc has never used codes. try pressing the reset switch (would be a pencil tip size hole on either the face or the subpanel, if it has one) or disconnecting power to the radio for a few minutes.

The 0.2MHz odd steps are standard for US radios.
Try resetting the radio (recessed button under the front panel)
If this a US radio then this may not help.
If you have lost the manual then go here:-

Come back and say if this helped or not, I could dig a bit deeper..
