What is error code meaning E000021-0400 on canon C5240A

The error code E000021-0400 on a Canon C5240A typically indicates a problem with the fixing assembly temperature sensor. The fixing assembly is the part of the printer that fuses toner onto the paper, and it relies on a temperature sensor to ensure that the temperature is maintained within a certain range.

The specific error code E000021-0400 usually indicates that the temperature sensor has detected a problem with the temperature reading. This could be caused by a malfunctioning sensor, a problem with the wiring, or a problem with the fixing assembly itself.

To resolve this issue, you may need to replace the temperature sensor or the entire fixing assembly. However, before doing so, you can try resetting the printer by turning it off and on again. If the error persists, you may need to contact a qualified technician for assistance.

Climacab fan comes on an shoots code 1402 then shuts down with is code 0400 .

1402 is the unit not detecting the USB stick inside (behind left vent) which it uses as a data logger. You can still run it like this.
0400 is one or both condenser fans are not spinning. Check the 15A fuses near the power management module. Could also be a broken wire.

Failed emmissions codes 0400-0443-0300

P0300 Random Misfire, means any cylinder at anytime.

P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow. EGR passages are full of carbon
clean passages and misfires may go away

P0443 Evaporative Emission Purge Control Valve circuit.

now just because a code is present doesn't mean a part/sensor is bad, just where to look and to test.
