Why is my haier refridger not getting cold

There are alot of things that can cause no cooling...
a stuck tstat, will cause it to freeze up(electronic control)
a broken defrost timer will cause ice build up from no defrosting
out, or low on freon charge
inefficient compressor
door gaskets leaking
light switch not cutting off the light inside the cooling or freezing compartment
a bad fan motor(door) switch

I dont know how your unit works, but most only have one evaporator in entire unit..and its in the freezer compartment, and the cooling side gets it (coldnest) from the freezer compartment..with a door flap that alows cold air from the freezer to enter the cooler side.
Hope this helps..

We have a Admiral Top Freezer Refrigerator Model#

sounds like a defrost problem. if the freezer section gets too much frost build up then it wont be able to move air into the refr section. check to see if you have "heavy" frost in the freezer and if so then a defrost thermostat or a defrost control board may be you problem.

GE Profile TFX22PR side by side. Freezer works fine, but Refridge side is not holding cold temp and the door gasket is quite warm to the touch.

Refridge quit cooling suddenly inboth freezer

That could be a broad range of possibilities. The defrost timer, adaptive defrost board, compressor start relay, compressor start capacitor or a mother board. Would you happen to have the model number so I can narrow down those possibilities? If you pull away from wall remove cover over the compressor and then unplug. Touch the compressor and let me know if cool, warm or too hot to touch. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Refridge is not cold freezer is fine

You have ice on the temp control door that has blocked air flow. You will need to pull off the back inside panel of the freezer and de-ice it or have a tech do it and test the defrost controller. That is most likely the reason for the freeze up in the first place. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Freezer not cold enough

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.
  • possible causes:
  1. bad defrost timer
  2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
  3. bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items. If it still has a problem then it might be the compressor and you should probably replace the machine.
