Did you change your wireless SSID and channel? Better to enable encryption too. If this problem never happens when you're connecting to other wireless networks you might as well update or reload the firmware/software of your router.

My Dell Inspiron 700m Laptop (Windows 2000 SP2), detects other wireless networks but fpr this personal network, all other laptops get connected to this. This laptop got connected to home network when I was...

The model of your laptop which you have specified carries with it a wireless receiver: Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 (802.11 b/g) Internal Wireless adapter. Other devices may be 802.11n compatible. So check the wireless mode in the router. Also make sure that the network name is also being broadcasted by the router. Finally check for any wireless devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens, etc.

Hope that this will help you resolve your query in the best way they can... Thanks 4 asking,

Dell Inspiron 2200; Win XP pro; detect router but no connect

Have you change settings on your router? if not try to disconnect and reconnect your dell computer. if still not working. turn off both laptop, turn off the router and modem. wait for 10-20 seconds then turn on the modem first, and if the modem is stable, turn on the router, and if it is stable, turn on the dell computer and try to connect. If still fails, try to delete wireless profile adn recreate it. If still fails, check device manger if there is a problem in your wireless driver. If still cannot connect, perform system restore.

When i changed my isp from talktalk to sky broadband my dell 1450 adaptor can not connect even though there is a connection via ethernet cable apparently dell say it is a software problem and want to...

When it says 'Conntected: 100Mbps" on the bottom, all it's saying is that you have a physical connection between your computer and the device it's talking to.
Now one thing you need to double check is that (I assume you have a wireless router) the router or whatever device you have connecting to your ISP modem has the correct network information. For example some ISPs will give you a static IP address that you have to manually add to your router. If TalkTalk does that, and Sky doesn't, make sure your router is automatically obtaining an IP address. This should connect you to your ISP and to the internet. Then your DELL machine should get an IP address from your router and then you should be good to go.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Can't connect using wirless internet with dell inspiron 2200

There is no switch on an Inspiron 2200. I would go to Dell's website and download the drivers for your model # and then uninstall the existing adapter. then try installing the new driver and let me know what happens.

Dell Inspiron 6000 with network card Intel/Pro Wireless 2200 BG

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Good luck

Cannot finish installation (Belkin F5D8633-4 wireless modem router N mimo)

ok, obvious questions first:

Do you have a different modem from TALKTALK? can you connect to the internet through that?

if so, you may not have to set a username and password for the belkin router: just connect the belkin router's internet port to the talktalk modem and let the talktalk modem handle the automatic connection.

do you know what protocol the talktalk ISP uses?  it's probably PPPOE; make certain that your belkin router is set to the correct protocol.  if you just hook it up to the talktalk modem though, you probably won't have to specificy a protocol at all.
