Question about Dell Inspiron 2200 Notebook
Dell Inspiron 2200; Win XP pro; have had the laptop for 5 years; have had an Actiontec router for about the same amount of time; now suddenly after years of working, the laptop can detect the router but not connect; IBM thinkpad right next to it has no problem
Have you change settings on your router? if not try to disconnect and reconnect your dell computer. if still not working. turn off both laptop, turn off the router and modem. wait for 10-20 seconds then turn on the modem first, and if the modem is stable, turn on the router, and if it is stable, turn on the dell computer and try to connect. If still fails, try to delete wireless profile adn recreate it. If still fails, check device manger if there is a problem in your wireless driver. If still cannot connect, perform system restore.
