This seems to be a problem with the ist line. My istD does the same thing. Turning it on and off a few times helps with mine. Pentax has no solution.

Can 1.2Vlt 800 mAh battery 1.2 volts instead of 630 mAh battery used in this device? ..

Hi
There should be no problem at all. The designations you show are both for 1.2 volts. The mAh specification refers purely to the capability of the rechargeable to deliver current over a period of time. 800 mAh will deliver 800mA for 1 hour or 400mA for 2 hours. Hence the 630mAh battery under fully charged condition will not last as long as the fully charged 800mAh battery when supplying the same current in the same application.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

Battery not charge

the battery may have developed a memory from continually recharging a partially used battery. The battery charges to this point and reads fully charged but when used it shows as flat because the charged portion is the bit that is used and not the whole battery. Replace the battery with a new one and only charge the battery when it shows as flat.

Try charging it for an hour even if it is indicating that it is already full in 10 minutes. If the battery still gets drained after a few shots, then you should change your charger.

You are not doing anything wrong, chances are that you just did not fully discharge this battery before charging. You will notice that all batteries will vary from charge to charge, but this is normal. Have fun with the cars. Hope this helps.

Kodak Easy Share z712 IS not detecting charged battery

I have the exact same camera almost a year too. It is a total "swinka" on batteries. About 10-15 shots on super ni-cads, and quits without warning.

A pair of Energizer 7X gave me near 500 shots. Much cheaper but still ...

So 4 months ago I bought a charger and 2 rechargeables. Charge one while using the other one.
I may get 70-90 shots per charge on these lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, without flash.

Testing the batteries without a load doesn't really tell you anything.
What's the reading? Should be well over 4 volts when fully charged. Mine show 4.2V

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W7 Digital Camera--battery problem

To solve this open the camera and remove the battery chamber (be careful with the cable that joins the chamber with the main board because it is very fragile). Once you have the battery chamber clean all the contacts with a contact cleaner. By all the contacts I mean, the 4 contacts for the batteries and the two contacts (male and female) that join the main board and de chamber. Be careful when you apply the contact cleaner to the main board contact bacause it is a liquid and might harm your lens if it reaches it. I have made this with my camera and worked awesome.

Low battery indication

You have either a faulty charger, a faulty battery or a fault in your camera. I purchased 2 batteries for my Sony 505v and from new one of them kept flashing an empty battery sign right in the middle of the display. Actually it was fully charged but Sony batteries have a little circuit inside them which tell you how long the batteries will last. In my case I could continue to use the battery but put up with that flashing icon. I returned it to where I purchased it and it was replaced Immediately. Please ,next time give us a little more information as to what battery type it is and which camera it goes in. Some cameras can develop a natural short circuit over time. BMW
