HELP! Can you help me Slinte?

My mothers TV stopped working. Just before it quit showing a picture it looked like the red had shifted from the greens and blues. I went to the magic focus setting on the remote and it started to go through the magic focus utility and then it just stopped midway through the first color (Red) It then went back to the picture mode and it was the same... Red was shifted. The picture went black shortly thereafter. There is also no sound now. The red power light does come on when pressed. But goes off after a few minutes. There is also a faint clicking sound. from the back of the set. I am a PC technician but do not know much about TV sets.

I changed the 2 convergence chips and still the set will not come on. The chips were STK 110 AND STK 150 - I replaced them with the STK 180 chips and It was a perfect swap and solder job. When I plug the set in the board seems to comes alive but, there is 1 green diode that clicks and flashes 5 times then goes out along with all the other lights. There are 3 boards. The bad light that is clicking(diode?) is near the top of the center board. It is the second green light from the top (see pics). I should add that It also looks like a tiny green (resistor?) has gone bad next to the IC's... it has a black discoloration in the middle of it. Does that mean it is bad? All the other ones look bright green. Also the flyback transformer is a brownish color around the base of it . Is this just normal for the flyback because of heat being generated by the transformer or is this possibly the part that needed changed all along? I am a PC repair tech nor really a TV repairman. If you have PC problems I can help. ASK ME! Can you please help me? MOM is getting stressed.

The green diode that is clicking and flashing is circled in yellow and also take a look at the flyback. I took the set outside and lightly airchucked the bulk of dust on the boards. The discolored resistor is also circled in yellow.
