Screen the screen slides half way out what should i do?

did you try to switch it of an then on?
Pressing the button on top of the screen on the left side for a few seconds till it says slide to switch of. Slide and wait till everything is dark (half a minute) Den switch on again, by pressing the same button sir again a few seconds. Wait again about half a minute.

Check the 2 pins connected on the home button if touch the interface of the board,might not hitting that is why the slide unlock not working.

Sounds like the bottom half of your digitizer is bad. You'll need to replace it for the sliding mechanism to work.

This is a main problem in the slide model.The flex of your phone is damaged or loose.You have to replace the flex of your phone or some times it will have loosed contact...This will solve your solution.Since your able to get half display which means LCD is 100% working and its IC's too....This is caused because of constant sliding of the mobile

seems you have iphone 2g phone. your touch screen problem and needs to be replace.

Phone flex needs to be changed. As you open and close the flip phone, the flex worn-out gradually.

When you get it fixed, avoid opening the slide unnecessarily and also try as much as possible not to make your phone fall on the ground as this will damage the flex or even the screen.

I have the same exact problem. I dropped mine, and it landed half on concrete, half on a piece of foam board, and when I got to shut mine off, it will slide to power off, but will not slide to do anything else. Everything works perfectly fine, people calling me, texting me, nothing is broken or cracked, I can't even unlock mine, it's stuck and it's making me very upset! I want an answer as to what I can do and or can't do.
