It was working fine and now the plug trips. We reset and it trips again. No probs with the electric box. Now what could it be? Is there a fuse in the plug?

My bath GFI tripped. Other plugs and fuse box okay. GFI would not reset. I purchased a new GFI plug and installed it. GFI outlet works, tests and resets. There are THREE black and THREE white wires.

Better get someone who knows electricity. GFCI OUTLETS always need 3 wires or they will not protect. This is not time to learn about electricity from internet. Wrong connection and someone life may be in danger.

Washing machine trip the breaker.

When it comes to home electrical make sure that when you plug into a electrical socket that the plug is tight in the socket. If the plug is not tight in the socket, have the socket replaced with a new socket.worn out sockets can trip breakers, throw sparks and cause fires.

I have had my whirlpool dryer about 4yrs + (geq9800pw2) has always worked fine. Last week it started tripping ckt breaker toward the end of drying cycle. As of this morning, it blows ckt breaker...

leave off the oven and a/c breakers and plug dryer and reset the breaker. if not tripping occurs then one at a time trip back the oven first. if no trip then trip off again and trip the a/c. if no trip then trip the oven back. if trip you may have a wire problem. if dryer trip any way then possibly you have a short in dryer. check the heating element wires, power cord at the dryer side(terminal block).

I have a baumatic bc3510ss double oven. everything works fine except the large oven. you can turn on the grill or oven but when you turn on the temperature the rcb blows on the fuse box.

Tthere are a couple of possibilities for your prob, the thermostat, or the oven element is faulty.
Disconnect the oven element, and try it again, if it does not trip, replace the element, if it still trips, replace the stat.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Washing machine keeps tripping electric switch

Hiya,
there is a few things that will do this to your electics 1st & formost if your trip switch is tripping off remember this is a safty device to prevent fire so ignoring the problem & switching the power back on to try again could run the risk of fire!!

when the power trips you will need to know at what point in the wash this happens if its when the machine is emptying then it would be a pump issue if the machine is emptying no problem then the issue is more likely to be the motor either of which would need to be replaced if you are having these problems.

on rare ocasions you can spring a leak & if water gets on the electrics this will also trip the power but this is 1 of the least likely posabilatys.. rest assured if the power is tripping off then your home electrics are working fine & to confirm all sockets run from 1 main fuse all lights run from a second main fuse then there is a few other bits that run on there on fuses too i.e. cooker, power shower etc.. remember always get a qualified electrician to work on your electrics to ensure the job is carried out correctly

Hope this helps
