The image alignment i.e. red/blue/yellow is not coordinated. I.E. the red part of the image shows up lower than the blue and yellow. As a result, scans seem to be in 3d, not coordinated and sharp as the slide is.

My tv not showing picture some plug came off.

The tv needs to be pulled out if it is in a cabinet or moved slightly forward (be careful it doesn't fall on its face) so that you can reinsert the cable that has become unplugged.

The picture cables are either yellow only or blue red and green. so look for a yellow cable that is dangling or a blue or red or green cable that has become undone. The colors coordinate so the hole that the undone cable goes into will be the same color as it. Also check the other end of the cables to make sure that all of them are still plugged in.

If you are using a different sort of connection it is still the same idea. The cables have a spot on the television as well as any connected device that compliments them. The male cable fits securely into the female receptacle hole.

Tv out of foucs

These procedures are from the owners manual, go into menu and then picture quality and then: Convergence The Convergence feature lets you adjust the TV’s three tubes. When the TV tubes’ images are precisely aligned, they create the color images you see on the screen. Over time, the picture can drift out of alignment (this is normal). If your picture seems fuzzy or has a yellow tint, using Convergence could correct this misalignment. Only one convergence is needed for all inputs, regardless of the signal format. Note: Make sure the TV has been on for at least 30 minutes (TV needs to warm up for best results) before starting Auto Converge or Red/Blue Centering. When you select the Convergence feature, a submenu appears with three options: Auto Converge Automatically aligns the projection lenses to self-correct color images. You’ll see flashing squares of color dance across the screen (this is normal). Note: After performing auto convergence, use the Blue Centering and Red Centering menus to fine tune convergence in the center of the screen, if necessary. Blue Centering Aligns the blue and green images to fine-tune the picture. Red Centering Aligns the red and green images to fine-tune the picture. Note: The ability to change channels is disabled when adjusting the convergence options. The TV must be tuned to a usable signal to converge the picture.

I stumbled across a tutorial on fixing the convergence for my Sony KP-46WT510 a while ago, and now I can't find it again! Does anyone know where I can find that tutorial or one similar to it? We've been...

Here is a walk through on how to set your convergence.

A quick and easy way to try and let the TV realign the convergence try this...

1) Turn on the TV and tune to a channel and let it warm up for about a half an hour to let everything settle into its normal operating mode.

2) Press the Flash Focus button on the original TV remote. A cross pattern will show on the screen and the process is complete when the cross turns white and the TV returns to the program you were watching.

3) Do not press any other buttons until this process has completed.

If this does not adjust it enough you can adjust the convergence manually as follows:

1) Press the menu button on the original TV remote.

2) Use the arrow keys on the remote to highlight setup and press + button to select.

3) Use arrow keys to select convergence and press + button to select.

4) A pattern of white crosses appears, with a yellow [ ] around one of the
crosses. Aligned crosses (which do not need adjustment) look white and
have little or no red or blue showing. Crosses that are not aligned show
red or blue shades beyond their edges.

5) Use the arrow keys to move the [ ] to a cross that is not aligned. ***Note: start with crosses in the middle and work outward ****
*** TIP: Set the alignment while about 5 feet from TV for better results ****

6) Press the + button to select the cross and the [ ] will turn red indicating it is ready to adjust the Red convergence.

7) Use the arrow keys to move the red cross on top of the white one or at least as close as you can get it.

8) Once the Red is aligned press the + key again and the [ ] will turn blue. This indicates it is now ready to adjust the blue convergence.

9) Use the arrow keys to move the blue cross on top of the white one or at least as close as you can get it.

10) Once you have aligned the blue cross press the + button again and the [ ] should turn yellow.

11) Repeat steps 5 through 10 until all the crosses are aligned. To exit back to regular programming press the menu button on the remote.

Yellow image produced by DP8200x

the light filter on the blue lcd is fried and needs to be replaced. it makes sure only blue light comes therough that lcd panel. when it's light is blocked from coming through, only the red and green lights can be seen, hence the yellowness (red light+green light=yellow light). it's common with lcd projectors. unfortunately, you can't buy that piece seperately. you need to buy the entire optical engine, which isn't cheap (almost $2000).

Alignment will not work corectly, still have blue and yellow show

Make sure the Size and Linearity adjustments are not cranked too high. This can affect the ability to move side to side. Center green first and then red and blue. Some pattern generators can produce a horiz shift. Also, check for a horiz start position adjustment. If blue is way off from Red and Gren then you have a bad amp.

Color is mostly yellow and blue with double images

you have lost the convergence IC`s in your set, this really isn`t a diy repair unless you are very proficient in un-soldering and re-soldering components, once replaced there will be an alignment procedure as well that will require the service manual also, if you have more questions feel free to ask away, video-tek
