A lot of these sets have a problem where a "filter cap" on the board in the power supply opens---Usually location is "C925 or C926" and it will be a 1000 mfd @ 25 or 35 volts.

Let me know if you can locate it--if so---unsolder the two leads (one marked with a plus and the other with a minus--positive and negative) and replace it----$4.00 part.

While watching my 32" less than 2 year old seiki tv the picture went completely black while the volume still continued. what is wrong?

No backlight. Check and replace damaged component/s at its backlight inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

Sony KP-46WT510 Picture went out (completely

Your Sony TV needs Screen (G2) volts adjustment and I'm not sure that you can do that or not by yourself.
If you are confident and know electronic stuff repair, then let me know to guide you OR call local TV tech to perform adjustment.
Thanks.

Westinghouse Green Screen

You can also try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Tv WENT OUT

Picture tube failure is rare problem. Your problem is powersupply failure and short circuit in deflection area. This is quite common problem. My sugestion is before you got this problem picture clarity and color clarity is better perfomance in your satisfaction means repair is better. Otherwise replace it.

TV went out

Hey Jim, The high voltage protection circuit has gone out on the D-board and will need to be replaced. The fuse to the power supply is probably fine. A good repair tech shouldn't charge over $125 for this and it only takes a couple of hours. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Tv is completely dead

Only 10 years old??? Ok its most likly at the end of its usefull life, unless you want to put some cash into the set, as there are no user replaceable parts inside this TV, so you really should let a trained tech estimate it for you. But once you fix it, you most likly will start have problem after problem. Do yourself a favor, and buy a new one. The problem with this set is most likly the flyback and other componets or the power supply capacitors are bad.
