Fax machine Samsung Inkjet Fax SF-360. Ink was finished so ordered the correct ink cartridge and replaced it now on the screen it tells us to install ink cartridge. I have tried severeal times and i know that i have installed it correctly therefore this is not the first time I am changing the ink. Can somebody please assist me. Thankyou

there is a button on the front pannel. change ink. press it. open the front pannel. take cartride out and put new one in. close front panel. printer will ask if it is a new or old cartridge. 1 for new 2 for old.

As soon as you installed it, you prompted a change in the ink levels which will AUTOMATICALLY pop up on your screen when you are properly connected and attempt to print something. That is when you tell the system that it is a new cartridge. OR YOUR PRINT HEAD IS CLOGGED Brother printheads are very easily clogged with air bubbles so there is very high risk that refilling ink will damage your printhead. It is not worth it to save money on ink and wind up with danmaged or totaly nonfunctional printheads.

make sure it is a s40 and not a s45 cartridge.

I have installed a refillid cartridge into Samsung fax machine SF-375TP and I get message"Install ink cartridge".What must I do in order to get machine to start working again?

Many cartridges DO NOT respond well to being refilled, and if you don't use a manufacturers ink cartridge. And if you don't you will get that message.
Sometimes you can reset the "Chip" in the cartridge, yes, there is one in there too, especially so it cannot be refilled by a third party,
There is NO simple way around this, "They" want you to buy NEW inks each time, and NOT refill, it sux huh?

Do i need an ink cartridge for the fax machine to work and setup

Some brands of fax machines and all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copiers need the ink cartridge to be present and have some ink in it to perform functions which don't actually require ink.

My dad bought a Brother all-in-one, and he is unable to scan or send faxes unless he replaces an empty ink cartridge first. If you have a Brother fax machine, I'd suggest returning it and buying a different brand. They waste ink on unnecessary cleaning procedures and force you to buy more for stuff that doesn't need ink.

press the button that says either cartridge or cartridge replacemant on left side i think then the cartridge moves to middle then replace it and press button again and select new

probably you did not fix properly the ink cartridge.check the cartridge for proper seating.

If the Toner Low/Empty message does not automatically clear when a new cartridge is installed, use the following to clear the message manually:
1.Press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine should display TECH.
2.Press MENU, and ENTER. The machine should display TECH Mode.
3.Press the left arrow < once. The machine will show NEW CARTRIDGE.
4.Press ENTER, the machine will show YES.
5.Press ENTER, there should not be any Toner Low/Empty message.
6.Exit TECH MODE, press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine will no longer display TECH.
If Toner Low/Empty message continues, there may be a problem with the toner cartridge or the machine.
