Call you local Lowes and find out if they will send a repair person to fix the range. They may wish you to produce the sales receipt for the range to prove it is under warranty.
The best way to reset the control is to unplug the unit from all power sources. Let is set for about 30 minutes to an hour. And then plug it back in. If you still have the same problem you are most likely going to have to replace some electronics.
The a/c noise is either the clutch going bad and slipping which is very common on the V10. When its slips its not pumping, a clutch kit can be bought at any parts house for around $45-$50.00. About 30 minutes to put on. The other is a pump bearing going bad, which isn't a quick fix and needs the whole pump replaced, if that's the case always replace a new dryer when replacing the pump,, I would put money on the clutch...
Exercise your warranty IMMEDIATELY since you just bought it! If you bought this used, you LIKELY bought someone else's problem. The problem is likely in the digital effects area... probably a bad cable contact... but if under warranty DO NOT mess with it... return it for replacement or repair.
my kenmore double oven model 41165 has no power....its hardwired 40 amp....it stopped working when it was cooling down after the slf cleaning cycle..we had a storm and had a minute power outage. If it's withing 30 days, get it exchanged. I have a D70s and it's been working fine for me, maybe something with the D40x with other customers? Take it back to the store and let an "instructor" try it out to make sure it's not a setting.
It's great for the manufacturer to know about any problems so they can get a good sample of problems to help many people. Good luck.
