Thanks for the suggestion. I was about to pay to get my answer online until I saw the suggestion to unplug and wait. After replugging it did not correct right away. I allowed washer to shut down from the continuous spinning after I replugged. It did and now works like a charm! Thanks again

My GE Prodigy just did the same thing the other day and I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and so far so good.

It sounds like the timer must have went bad or has a loose connection, If I understand you correctly its stuck in the spin mode. and won't go to rinse or wash cycle, Is that what you are saying, If so Maybe the start button got pushed in to hard or pulled out to hard. If It don't work let me know so we can work on something else so we can get it fixed for you, Happy Holidays bear001

No rinse, no drain, no final spin

I assume this is a top loader, check the lid switch, you should hear it "click" when the lid is lifted. If no click the switch is broken.

I want the washer to fill it up but it goes to final spin

Is it a front loader or top loader? It almost sounds like a front. If so, you have a malfunction in your control panel. You will have to have GE do a test on the circuitry to verify that that's what it is. But if it's a top loader, it most likely has a mechanical timer. If THIS is the case, there's a chance that someone tried to do a second final spin then interupted it before it was done and threw the cycle off. My parents had a HOTPOINT that did that. Just set the timer to the desired starting point, and let it run from there to the end (UNINTERUPTED). This will reset it. Any more problems, let us know.

Spin cycle not removing enough water from clothes

your manual states that it can be caused by cold rinses and or spin cycle not getting completed. please try to rinse in hot or warm and see if that does not solve your problem

GE Adora front load washer overloaded now won't start

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.
