Large fridge santo 3688-6 ka model not cooling properly and can't stop beeping. Even when starting temperature is at 2 C, only few minutes of opening the door temperature goes out of scale and starts to beep. Coolomatic doesn't help too much either. Also, there is lot of clicking and all the temperature control lights keep flicking as well. Can u suggest the fix?

hi tracy, think its possibly better getting a repair guy in as this fault is not streight forward. possibly a fault in the defrost circuit, or freezer fan not functioning, or possibly a leak in the system. all theese areas need testing equiptment.

Check the damper between the fridge and freezer. It may be broken or frozen open. If this happens and you have a water reservoir in the fridge then it could freeze and crack - leak and then flood your house... Shut off the water supply until you get the problem fixed.

SOURCE: how do i set my

Hi

The santo was originally built with a standard thermostat, this is graduated from 1 to 6 where 1 is the warmest setting and 6 is the coldest, normally you would set this to btween 3 and 4 and adjust it slightly to your favourite.

Regards

Gordon

Electrolux refrigerator not working properly i have change new one picture i ve attach here thou sometime it run but after few minute it stop please suggest what should i check.

Hi, have you tried adjusting the thermostat control, if the fridge is not cooling enough you can set it to a lower temperature. There will be a rotating knob somewhere on your fridge that can turn the temperature down. Sorry if I appear a little confused, the fridge is supposed to stop after a few minutes of cooling, it should not be using the compressor all the time.
Maybe lowering the temp will soet the issue.

Refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling during a heat wave

Good day,
Turning the thermostat to a warmer setting should not have caused the machine to quit cooling. Actually, the engineers give you far less leeway than you might think.
The controls are more in a class of fine tuning, otherwise people would be getting themselves into trouble. The manufacturers simply design the warm and cold parameters in a fairly narrow range.
The best setting is normal. When away, the machine will run far less simply because of no door openings. Opening a door lets in large amounts of air every time it's done, which is where your cost to run it exists.
Two things. One, if the temp in the kitchen exceeded 90 degrees for any length of time, you are operating it beyond it's design range, however two, it sounds as if the thermostat hung up, causing your issue. You may want to have it replaced, but it would be useless to call anyone when it's performing normally.
There is no test on thermostats other than by observing their action when the machine is not operating properly.

Refridgerator beeps and upper section not working

First, the Samsung Refrigerator is the only fridge that has one compressor, but two different evaporators to operate the freezer and the refrigerator separately. Thus, you can have the bottom freezer working fine, while the fridge part will not.
The reason your fridge is not working is probably a faulty door switch in the refrigerator. The switch is malfunctioning, telling the computer that the door is open. Therefore you hear the door alarm go off in intervals, even though the door is actually closed. If the computer registers an open door, it will not pump cool air into the refrigerator, as that would be a waste of energy. All you need to do is replace the door switch. Until you get a new one, you can temporarily fix your fridge by simply removing the old switch altogether. You will not have any light in the fridge, however, it will cool again just fine until you are able to install the new switch (a simple plug-in contraption, by the way).
Hope this helps.
