Many or even most washing machines will not run if the door lock switch is not working. Open and close the door a few times to see if the light stops flashing. You could press on the door where the latch is and see if that makes a difference.
If the door lock indicator light is flashing it means the door is not closed .......or the machine thinks it's not closed. Give the door an extra push just in case, the areas to check would be the switch, the wiring connections and the tracks on the module. If you find any tracks on the module have blown also check the motor for lose or broken wires because the module does not blow for no reason.
hi check the spring on the door handle/catch,the easiest way to check this if you close the door and it indicates that the door hasnt locked, push the inner part of the handle towards the machine,if it locks then the spring is worn.(this is more commen than the interlock).
If the door locked light is flashing , then the main board probably has a fault on it, due to a problem with the motor, or the board itself being faulty.
Recommend calling an engineer.
first try holding button at door with finger and press start..if same symptom appears...check tab that depresses that switch and if its good try to reposition or replace switch.
assuming that you didfi not unwire ther door lock, the problem is probably just that the door seal just needs bedding in and you should be able to start by closing more firmly and pushing in till the door lock catches. did you properly seat the door boot on the cabinet?
