Indesit (Hotpoint, Ariston) 'F05' decodes as 'pump'blocked'.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motorfilter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

The machines as regualar functionality should produce results Expectations. For example, the machine at power on to attain functionality takes time to generate effects requested. Depending on the type of machines effectiveness where also instruction functions requested woulsd require an enormous duration to produce results. The washer machines regualr observation performs spins per duration until entire feature request have been accomplshed. What is referenceble once pwoered on is allowing the device to perform until prompted as completed processing requested. Usually the manufacturers user guide has the speicfications of expectations either in operationality or malfunctions observations. Once installed, washer machines functionality shoul be referenced howver refering to expert suport is an alternate option.
Sounds like it.
It is actually called a thermistor, and is located at the end of the heater element.
Which in turn is located at the rear of the washer drum.To gain access, remove lower rear cover of washer, and you will see the element and thermistor there.
To remove the thermistor, slacken the centrt nut securing element, and withdraw the thermistor.
Fit new thermistor, tighten up nut, and that is it.
If problem persists, then it is going to be a faulty pcb.
hello. if it don't turn then it could be the brushes on the motor also check the interlock on the door. any spin problems could be the module control board get back to me if you still have problems
I assume you mean the Brushes in the motor..Remiove lower rear panel of washer.
Unplug lead to motor. Remove earth lead from motor.
Remove belt, and undo 2 screws securing motor to bottom of drum.
Lever motor away from you, and remove motor. and locate brushes at the opposite end to the pulley
Hope this helps you.
hi it looks like your machine is malfunctioning, you need to get it program flashed (reinstall the machines default settings), you will need to get a technician to fix it.
If the door locked light is flashing , then the main board probably has a fault on it, due to a problem with the motor, or the board itself being faulty.
Recommend calling an engineer.

If the machine is 10 years old or more buy a new one!! Look at speed Queen washers1 They are commercial and have the best warranty in the industry! use the least water and wash 8 loads a week for 25 years or more! They start at about $549 for the top loader and 1299 for the front loader, BUT the front loader uses ONLY 13.9 GALLONS OF WATER! The last washer i will buy! You can ususally take your Hotpoint washing machine out of DEMO MODE by holding down both the ON/OFF button and the START/RESET button at the same time for about 3 seconds. The display should then indicate D OFF.If this procedure does not work for your particular machine, then please just comment back and be sure to include the exact model number of your washer next time so we can provide the appropriate procedure for your appliance. Good luck.
The first thing to always try is disconnecting it from the mains plug overnight. Then in the morning press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Then plug it back in. The is a Power Reset on a machine that has an electronic mainboard.
Does water enter the machine? My guess is that the water inlet valve may have failed. It waits, no water comes, so it times out. There are a few things to check there, make sure there is water in the pipe, make sure the strainer screens are clear in the hose connecter on the back of the machine.
No model details given but there is help in the link.
