Widen view to go across two screens - cannot now return to single

Screens are controlled by ASPECT RATIO.
Monitors can have 4:3 16:9 and 16:10 ratios.

You are doing 1 of 3 things.

1. You have a regular monitor and the tv and are duplicating the screen.
2. You have a regular monitor and the TV and are extending the screen.
3. You have just the tv connected.

Your video card has to have a screen resolution that meets the tv's ratio to have the tv take the full screen.

If your configuration is 1. the tv will only match the monitor resolution, so if you change the screen resolution, you may get bars on the monitor, and the tv will go wide screen.

if your configuration is 2. the tv is controlled independently and you can select it to change its resolution to an appropriate aspect resolution. *this requires that your video card gives you the correct screen resolution for your tv. not all displays will work.

If your configuration is 3. the tv is the only resolution that is being pushed and just adjust the resolution til the screen is filled in.

To adjust the screen resolution, right click on the desktop where there isnt an icon and select either Properties (windows xp) or Screen Resolution (windows vista, 7 and 8).

if you have 2 screens press the identify button and it will put a number on each screen. click the appropriate screen and go to the resolution dropdown below. Change, apply and if it doesn't look right, revert and try a different setting. if you try them all and it won't take up the full screen, then the video card can't push the video resolution your monitor wants.

I am unsure what you need o do. is it changing the resolution to make it fit? If not, then you can widen the screen by the monitor settings on the menu

there might be some adjustment tabs on the monitor if you cant see any run a finger across the underside on the monitor

click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system

also you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size,larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

Widen border on what? A document, if so go into page setup. If you're talking about the whole screen, go into the Desktop under the Control Panel and change the screen resolution.

Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down theShift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle).
Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolutionslider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle imageto the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then changethe screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied withthe image of the circle. When you are satisfied then click apply.If you cannot change the screen resolution then most likely the incorrect video driver has been installed.

Enter video properties from your controll panel, adjust screen resolution, testing each time to see what looks best.

Just set your Display setting horizontal or vertical where you feel need, it is easy and simple.

There are two causes of an unfilled screen her;
1) Either, you don't have drivers installed that the resolution is set to low pixels or pixels that don't match your screen type (Computer does it automatically if the drivers are installed)
OR
2) You need to set or widen the length and height of your desktop screen using the buttons on it - usually on the front. Let me know how it went so i give you plan B...

inside the monitor you wil find a adjustabel potmeter(screw) in the erea of the flyback transformer.
this is the horizontal voltage adjustment
if you turn it clockwise you wil see that the screen will widen more or less.
