My Logitech Harmony 890 remote has started sending signals on its own. turns on the info and starts to scan through the channels etc. When using the guide the remote keeps sending signals and moving the guide.

Hi. It sounds like some of the IR commands on your remote (menu, exit, guide, info, play, skip, etc.) for your TV and DVD player are not correct. Luckily, the Harmony remote is a Learning remote, meaning you can use your original TV or DVD player remote to teach the Harmony remote the correct commands. You DirecTV device may have been reset ack to RF. You'll have to make sure the device is set to accept IR commands in order for the Harmony remote to work on it.

Pull the battery out and re-insert it, also update the remote firmware
