CODES FOR ZENITH DTT900 DIGITAL TV CONVERTER

Hold Power and press Channel Up or Down. There are 150 manufacturers, so if you don't get functionality within 150 presses in one direction, you're SOL.

I own a Zenith DTT900 Converter, along with a briefcase full of universal remotes. Most of the remotes I own do not work with the converter, but here are the codes and remotes that DO work that I know of: All are programmed under the satellite receiver button.

Phillips PM6225 6 Device Consolidator--Code 267, which is listed as a Zenith satellite receiver

Radio Shack Model 15-135 HDTV Pro Remote-- Code 01414, which is listed as a DirecTV satellite box code, as well as an LG satellite box code

Radio Shack 8-in-1 LCD Remote Model 15-100--Code 01414, which is similar to the model 15-135.

Zenith 6 Device Universal Learning Remote Model ZN620--Code 267, similar to the Phillips remote listed first.

This may not be a direct answer to the One for All remote you have, but the remotes I listed are stiil for sale as of 4/08, so at least you know some currently available remotes that can dothe job....

My grandchildren lost the DTT 900 remote control. While at Harbor Freight yesterday I saw a giant universal remote control for about $8 hanging on the wall. Told my wife this would be a nice joke type gift for them, not really expecting it to work. But, it does work!. The remote is a model YK9001 with a suggested retail of $39.99. Its about 5 inches wide by 12 inches tall. The instruction book is tiny 2.5 inches by 4 inches. I followed the instructions for searching for a code under SAT button. Bingo! it works everything on the Zenith DTT 900. I would bet you find the remote on Harbor Freight's web site. I own several universal remote controls including the OneForAll URC-8910B02, but am waiting for from the update service. Here is a cheap, big, giant remote from a bargain tool store that works. I used the retrieve method and it reports 212 under the SAT button.

I can confirm that the correct code for this is 1415 - a few more bits of information, though. You need to get a wav file to program that code into your remote, and the phone number in the manual doesn't work any more. I was able to track down a new customer service number (Dec 12, 2008), which is 330-405-8655.

When programming code 1415, you have to change the device type to "video accessories" - when programming, after selecting code select and choosing a device button, use the up/down arrows to choose the different type (type "video") - otherwise it will NOT find the code! (This was not described in the manual, had to get it from the customer support folks).

Have a zenith universal remote and i want to programe a viore telivision but can't find the manual and i need a code please?

On a One For All Universal Learning Remote URC-8820, the code that operates my Zenith DTT901 is 1415 on the cable button. This is the code for LG HDTV Decoders. If you don't have the same remote, I'd look up the code in your remote's book for LG HDTV Decoder (also listed under "Video Accessories" in my remote's setup book.)

All except one of the key functions work to control the Zenith box by setting that one code on my universal remote, including zoom, info, programing menu, recall, mute, channel, volume, etc. The only function that I may have to program manually is Simple Guide.

For the the Zenith DTT901, the instruction is to "Set the remote’s operation mode to TV or Set-top Box and use the LG or Zenith codes listed in your universal remote’s user manual."

With a Sony Blu-ray remote, such as RMT 105, the code for a Zenith TV turned out to be 11 .
