Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washer leaks soap

There will be screws along back at the top holding the top panel. Using the appropriate screw head screw driver you will have to get these screws out, lift the top panel slightly and push out towards the front. This should disengage the panel from the notch on the main body and come out. That will get you access to the console.

Disconnect power then open the door and remove the spring-hoop assembly that secures the door gasket. Peel off the part of the door gasket near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel then pull the door lock and switch assembly out. Transfer the wires to the new door lock and switch assembly then install into place. Put the door gasket back and secure it with the spring-hoop assembly. It definately could be your inlet valve, There is a clean out underneath the front panel, thee screws underneath will release the bottom panel. There should be a coke can size cylinder with a screw off top. Remove that a check to see if there is any obstruction. Good luck!

probably has something stuck in the electric drain pump happens alot on frigidaire washers it is accessable after removing front lower acess panel tilt washer back after pulling it from the wall the drain pump will be just right of center at the front use a pan to catch any water that will come out you can either remove the 2 drain hoses to clear obstruction or you can unscrew pump motor from pump body

on the affinity washers, tou acess the pump from the back. there is a large service panel that is removed by a couple screws. the pump is right there for you to work on. shane

hI.. yOU NEED TOTAKE OUT THE SOAP DRAWER.... UNDO THE SCREWS HOLDING THE FRONT PANEL ON... TAKE THE LID OFF... UNDO THE TWO SCREWS ON TOP O THE FRONT PANEL.. UNDO THE DOOR RUBBER AND FOLD IN MACHINE... UNSCREW DOOR INTERLOCK.. AND REMOVE NOTING TERMINAL CONNECTIONS... UNSCREW THE TWO SCREWS AT BOTTOM OF PANEL, AND HEY PRESTO... IT IS OFF....!!!

BEFORE YOU START MAKE SURE THE APPLIANCE IS SWITCHED OFF AND UNPLUGGED - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT..

Pull the top off by removing the screws on the back of the top of the washer then the top will push back and left off. From the front reach down on the left side , there is a hose that gos from the bottom of the soap dispenser the gos into the front of the drum, you should be able to pull it out of where it gos into the drum chances are there issomthing stuck in it or there in the drum where the hose gos in. Note you may have to take the screws out of the soap dispenser and push it back a little to get your arm down in there to get ahold of the hose.

are you using he detergent?. if what you see on floor is pure detergent then look at dispenser housing for cracks. remove drawer, open, depress lever in back and pull out, to see inside housing. If the screw or mounting for the loose paddle (baffle) broke and slammed housing in some way then you would also have a hole in the tub. You can easily remove top, 3 screws in back to check this. If tub is broke, buy new machine!
baffles are usually attached with screws from outside basket, requiring removal from tub

the loose vane cant affect leaking first open the drawer look on the back Left side of the drawer push down on the tab and remove the drawer take it apart and clean it well top and bottom clean the inside of the drawer hsg and look for cracks on the top panel remove the two screws at the back and remove the panel reassemble the drawer assembly put detergent in it start the washer take a flashlight and look for leaks

This was exactly what was wrong with my washer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Easy Fix! I would recommend leaving it unplugged until you are ready to undo the plug for the door lock. This was a perfect solution!!
