Getting a lot of condensation at wall where the dryer vent attaches, we have moved and the new house has a smaller laundry room. The first time we used the dryer I noticed a puddle of water, checked washer everything fine, pulled dryer out and noticed water dripping from the duct at the wall where the dryer vent connects. I checked for blockage, everything seemed fine. I have no idea, if you do that would be fantastic

My suspicion is that the damper on the dryer vent is not completely closing, allowing the cold air to pass into the house. Also check to see if the vent hose is sealed to the vent with duct tape or steel tape.

Why is my dryer damp in the morning after using it the night before

Hello. I need the model number to really help you accurately. However, this symptom is indicative of a possible blockage in the vent tube--either the flexible part connecting the dryer to the wall, or inside the wall, OR BOTH! Here's a relatively quick test. Remove the lint screen and any clothes from the dryer. Next, remove the vent hose from the bottom rear of the dryer. It can be sort of a pain to re-attach, especially if your laundry room is tight! Anyway, set the dryer for time-dry and turn it on--there should be a hard air-blow out the back of the dryer. Feel the pressure with your hand. Re-attach the hose and again, turn on the dryer. Go outside and locate the exhaust vent. You should feel a blow of air darn close to what you felt behind the dryer. IF YOU DON'T FEEL ANY AIRFLOW, OR IF IT'S SIGNIFICANTLY WEAKER, **YOU HAVE A BLOCKAGE SOMEWHERE IN THE AIR PATH**. This blockage is causing air movement in the dryer to be restricted--that air is full of moisture from the evaporated water out of the clothes. It has nowhere to go. Your clothes are probably taking a longer time to dry(if at all). You need to find and clear the blockage asap--the clock is ticking before you prematurely burn out the heating coil or pop a thermal safety fuse which prevents a fire. If you have a roof vent, it needs to be cleaned approximately every 4 months. If you have a long run through the walls or especially under the concrete slab, same rule applies. Lint turns into paper machet when it gets wet. It builds up like cholesterol in an artery and usually starts getting thicker towards the vent opening(cold air re-condenses the evaporated water). I hope I helped you!

Dryer is extremly hot to the touch, condensation on cabinets and walls in the laundry room it gets so hot in there when dryer is running

Usually when an electric dryer overheats it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat. What is your model number?

Our house is a split level and the laundry room is downstairs. The dryer vent hose goes up to meet the wall, where it goes outside. The vent doesn't take all the lint outside, most of it ends up in our...

Are there crackes in the hose and is it clamped on at the dryer outlet ?
Check also to see if it is pluged up or if the hose came off the connection to vent outside or also the vent flaps are sticking. If you by chance have solid tubes, wrap up the seams and connections with duct tape.

Dryer gets hot and drum is turning clothes are not drying. cleaned lint tray and removed tubing venting outside and the dryer is making a whining noise. the dryer is only 14 months old

If the drum is turning and the dryer is getting hot, then this is good news, as it means that the dryer is mechanically sound.

First check to see if the internal workings of the dryer are not blocked by running the dryer with the vent tube detached. If there is lots of warm moist air coming out the hole in the back of the dryer where the tube should be, then your dryer is fine.

Next, if you've checked the tube that connects the dryer to the wall or floor and it is clear, then on to step 3.

Probably you have a blocked or severely restricted vent tube from the wall or floor to the outside. Over time, these always become clogged with wet lint that builds up into a crust on the walls of the tubing.

Find the exhaust exit on the outside of the house and run a sewer snake up into it to see if you can open a hole in the blockage. If that works to help the air flow, then you need to replace the tubing from your laundry room to the outside, as it is probably a solid crust of lint that has built up over years.

Again, the good news here is that your expensive new dryer is probably fine.

Still heats, but turns off early

sounds like hole in vent especially with unusal amount of moisture..also ckd vent to outside to be sure it isn't plugged ..when reinstalling vent to dryer be sure you don't flatten or compress vent hose to much this will restrict air flow to outside and cause increased dry times or poor drying ..will also cause excess lint accumilation in dryer ..house fire!

Dryer ducting.

Check all vent pipes and outside vent hood, thay should be keeped clean, and that the flex pipes are not kinked. Also a 4 " Y would be better than a T ,used to join them. Most dryers have a thrmo link,or a hi limit thermostat near the fan or in the outlet line. This is to prevent over heating. So poor venting,or bad lay out of the exust system may be the cause. If not the limit,or thrmo. be weak, and replacement is not that costly. Rob

Bosch Self Venting

If you're asking about the Condensation - No Venting Required feature:

I've had one for about 4 years with no complaints. I have used plenty of traditional dryers -- even models with moisture sensors. In all of them, it was common to find clothing that was "hot to the touch" when finished.

Every Bosch load finishes with a hint of moisture. I believe this is the Bosch "anti-wrinkle" standard -- but have never used one of their vented dryers. Even a 10 min fluff seems to add a hint of moisture to the load. Either way, you can't throw everything in the laundry basket and leave it for a week.

Europe is short on McMansions -- favoring tiny old homes without proper laundry rooms. Ventless is the norm -- rather than the exception over there. The Bosch works as advertised --producing a trace amount of ambient moisture and/or heat.
Mildew can be an issue -- depending on the dryer's location -- and the areas relative temperature / humidity.

Functions best in a fully climate controlled indoor location.
