Unreadable files for Sansa e250

My Sansa e250 is great but I have noticed on the Sansa e250 (G) file there are unreadable files that are taking up tons of space!! I am unable to delete these files (which magically appeared). When I try and delete these files - the message appears 'Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disc'. What is this and how can I get rid of them because I am loosing TONS of space!!!

Don't worry, there's a solution.

You have to run what's called "Check Disk."

  1. Switch the sansa player into MSC usb mode in the settings under "USB Settings".
  2. Then plug it into your PC and goto my computer.
  3. Then Right click the player's icon and goto properties
  4. Then there should be tabs on the top of the box that pops up. Click "tools"
  5. Then there is an area that says area-checking with a button that says "Check Now..."
  6. A box pops up; Click both option boxes and press start.
  7. Then exit out of all the boxes and safely remove the player.
  8. Unplug player and let it restart.
WARNING: Sometimes it will make files "disappear", but still use space. In that case you will have to format it and put the music back on. It all depends on how "corrupted" the files were. If your files disappear, reply stating so and I will help you out with that if you don't know how to format.

Thank you and please respond with any comments or more questions.

I got a MP3 Sansa e250 MP3 Player.How I can ....

You can use either Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player to transfer the files to your mp3 player. Microsoft's website has great help files on doing this, including video tutorials.

The user's manaul for this product also has instructions - you can get this from Sandisk's website.

Dont know how to put pictures in my mp3

To transfer photos and video to your Sansa e250:
1. Open Sansa Media Converter on your PC
2. Connect Sansa e250 to the computer.
The detected Sansa e250 will list the available space and total space on the
device. If more than one device is inserted, only the first device will be
supported.
3. Add the media files to be converted
4. The Sansa Media Converter will place all files in MyAlbum unless you
type in a new Album Name at the bottom of the screen. Use this option
to organize your files and slide shows.
5. Press to start the conversion process. A status box will appear
showing which file(s) are being converted.
6. Photos and Video can not be transferred to the microSD card.
7. Do not move your photo or video files from the location the Sansa
Media Converter places them.
8. See Safely removing your Sansa from the Computer instructions
below.

Also you can take a look at the manual on page 16..it will give you a visual Image..
