What is the output set for on the DVD player? S video is not what u want, do u have a auxiliary input? if u want to use S video get a cable from Radio Shack, the channel is used for older devices, the channels for this where 3 and 4 but this will not work, if u have a button marked Video in press it until the player shows on the screen.

I'm trying to hook my DVD player to my tv its a vizio flat screen but I keep getting a Aucum Signal... What do I do

hook your dvd player into video 0ne two or three, there indication is red white and yellow. red for left sound white for right sound and yellow for video. then turn your tv to video output to what ever you attatched your rca cable to either vid 1 2 or 3. the remote should have an input selection, good luck this is easy and if you hook the cables up to the red white and yellow connections either on the side front or back of the tv it will detect it normaly, if not choose it from the remotes selection tab, called input selection. hope this helps.

you have to change the input on the tv to AV. there should be an input button on the remote, but if your remote doesnt work you might not be able to change the input. you can try to use the channel up and down on the tv and once you get to the end of the numbers, some tvs will change inputs before restarting the number list. make sure you hook the yellow cable to the yellow plugs on the dvd and the tv and either of the red or white ones to the white one on the tv. red and white are left and right audio and the yellow one is the video

the cable in should go to the box and cable out from the box to the TV.These should all be coaxial cables correct?Hook up the DVD player to the TV using the red, white, and yellow cables is also correct. In order to watch a DVD,you have to use the input select button on the remote for the TV ONLY to change inputs. If you have a universal remote for the TV and not the original factory remote provided with the TV,you need to use the menu button located on the outside of the TV.I just searched on my flat screen and was unable to find an input select through the menu button. It may not be possible on this TV if you do not have the original remote and if you own a universal. My universal for one of my older TV's is about 7 years old so I do not know if newer ones have an input select option. If they do not,it is most likely due to patents and royalty payments which these cheap remote makers do not want to pay.Anyhow, let me know if this helps.Just comment here and i will get an auto link to your comments.Good luck! As you look at the tv from the front, you have the tv function keys on the lower right hand side, press the key described as source once at a time till you get to the input you are using for the dvd player, ex: if dvd is connected to input 2, press the source key repeatedly untill you get to input2, this should give you control over the external inputs you are trying to use. As for the remote control, there should be a universal remote control you can program to use with your soyo tv.

I have a dvd player that I am trying to hook up to a sharp tv model number 25L-M100B. This tv don't have the necessary ports inthe back to plug dvd or anything up to it. It does have 2 in the front of

Hook the dvd player up to the front inputs usually a yellow and a red or possibly a yellow red and white depending if the TV is stereo or not.

Then on your remote, it the INPUT button and take it to "VIDEO 1" while your dvd player is on and you should get a picture.

Make sure not to mix the cable colors.
Yellow is video
White Audio
Red Audio
A lot of times there is only either white or red and not both. This is just Mono sound, it works, just not "stereo" sound.
