Hi, I am not sure if you unplugged all the cables from your VCR to your TV, If so double check the hook up. When you unplugged the POWER to the VCR the memory was lost. Try and find the menu or set up on the remote. Again the audio out from the VCR needs to be hooked to the audio in on the TV and the video out from the VCR needs to be hooked up to the video in on the TV. Keep trying !!!
Progressive scan video output would be available on Component Video terminals of dvd player so set connections between TV and dvd player via Component Video cable. Please intimate model and brand of product that you need instruction manual. Thanks.
Connect the "Out to TV"video and audio on the DVR box to the "Video in and Audio In" on the VCR ...unless it's a single screw type connector on the DVR then hook THAT to the "In from ANT/cable" on the VCR
