Issue with the number of songs my zen v plus can hold

According to the information in the manual that came with my zen v plus it's suppose to hold 1000 songs but when i reach 270 windows media player says device is almost full. why won't it hold any more?

I also have a Creative Zen V Plus in the 4 GB version, and it only hold about 670 songs (instead of the stated 2000).  I don't have anything else on the player.  Do I need to compress the songs somehow to fit more on?

only have 400+ tracks on 4Gb, no other media although removable disc is set at 2Gb?

Depends on what else you have on your player and the file size of the songs.

Creative Zen V Plus Bookmarks

A little known feature on this player is the ability to use bookmarks, up to 10 of them. When i record songs it's all one track

The guide for Zen nano plus:
http://files2.europe.creative.com/manualdn/Manuals/TSD/8899/0xBA9C626B/Zen%20Nano%20Plus%20Quick%20Start%20Multilingual.pdf
It seems that pauzes between the tracks do not seperate them into
split up songs onto the player.

Support for Zen nano plus on this site:
http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=213&subCatID=214&prodID=12720&prodName=ZEN%20Nano%20Plus&subCatName=ZEN&CatName=MP3+Players
You can rip audio CD using:
1. "application software" (getting a download from the support site) or
2. Windows Media Player 10 or 11 (WMP11 preferred).****
2.1 ****When making connection with the correct database,
songs will get the corresponding MP3 tags / names.

Remove music

I had the same problem. You have to hold down the back button when you highlight the selected song. That back button is also the options button if you hold it down. You'll see a menu if you do it correctly. Then just scroll down to delete song and BAM...
it's gone.

Deleting songs

The manual is pretty useless. Find the track, hold the back button down until the menu appears, and then click delete.
