I think the part # is bp94-02084a and foud it at partsstore.com for $344. Not 100% if this is the correct part that needs to be replaced, is there a way you can check and make sure i pick the right part #? Also do you know were i can find an installation manual for something like this, it looks pretty involved.

I think what you are describing is a form of line paring which is caused by a defective IC in the video circuit those inputs are feeding. Post a email link ad I will send a pic of a screen that has this problem and you can let me know if thats what your experiencing.

I would suspect a bad capictor in the tuner assembly. Do you have a service manual for this set that will beak down the tuning circuits.I will do a little research to see if samaung has any tss logs for this problem.

Let me check I have some good resources I may be able to track down a training manual on that model. That provides more info than the service manual.

Found out that samsung has been getting alot of problems with the digital board. Here is a post that describes your problem and th cure.

Bought a fabulous Samsung HLR5067 50"DLP about a year and a half ago. It was a huge splurge at $2,200. I really hate to admit it, but I love it. It is just beautiful, but recently all the channels turned green, other than the HD channels. I can only watch HD channels now.

My local Samsung tech (great guy, really) sadly told me that I need a new digital board to the tune of almost $700. The part alone is $460.

Tha is the IC that I was mentioning earlier. If you give me the number of your digital board I can try to post a link where yo should be able to get one for alot less than 460.00 The ICs are not serviceable from samsung.. You have to replace the board.

I will check Here is a link to call and check on that board. I think they may be cheaper, you would have to call them. They have thousands of circuit boards and they have a toll free number.

Dynex 37 hiss and plaid screen

There are some components that have gone bad in the board. It could also be due to moisture inside. Please do not continue to use it and refer it to a qualified service technician.

Solid red and green screen

Likely the "main" board that processes all digital information in and out of the set---Not likely to get fixed in the home or be a do it yourself repair.

You might want to call Samsung with the model number to see if this is a known issue in this model or not.

Green Plaid lines on Samsung HLR5067wax/xaa-

These are the Tests that should be run to determine which board is bad.You should call a good TV Tech if you are not familiar with this TV.
- The DDP1011 on the DMD board has a feature to display internal test patterns.
- DNle, which is an end port in the digital board, has a feature to display internal test patterns.
- The analog board sends signals to ADV7402 on the digital board.
- The analog board is the first output and the digital board is the second one, followed by DMD, which is the final one.
■ Diagnosis By Module
1. Access Service Mode
(In Standby mode, press "Mute", "1", "8", "2" and "Power" to turn the screen on and enter service mode)
2. Check if there is an error in the DMD board
DDP1011 → TEST PATTERN → Press the right arrow key:
Options of FULL WHITE, BLACK, RED, GREEN and BLUE PATTERN are displayed on the screen.
If "Pattern" does not appear, this is a DMD board error.
3. Check if there is an error in the digital board before the DMD.
When the DMD board has been determined to be error free based on the test patterns:
FACTORY MODE → DNIe → TEST PATTERN normal display: no error in the digital board.
If "Pattern" does not appear, it may be from a DMD board or ATI error or there is an analog board malfunction.
4. Check if there is an error in the analog board.
Check for a power signal from the analog to the digital boards

Green Plaid Screen

Are you able to access the on-screen menus (like brightness/contrast etc)?

If those menus are appearing over the green screen, then it might be a cable or image source problem. I've often seen this green screen when the HDMI encryption between my cable box and my TV gets messed up. Only solution has been to power cycle the cable box.

If you can use something other than an HDMI cable to connect your TV to your picture source, I suggest trying that and seeing if you can get SD channels again. If you do get them back, it was a cable issue. If you still can't get them, contact your cable/satellite provider, see if there's something up with their signal.

Green Plaid then Vertical Lines, Failure of hard controls, Analog Board?

You are absolutely correct, When anyone complains of vertical lines or bars, the next step is to see if it happens on only digital inputs ( digital board ) , only analog inputs ( analog board ) , or both ( DMD board ) .

Analog board can be purchased at www.partstore.com ,
