No, could you please help with some more details. How can I be sure it is the pump? The only progress I have had it that there was a loose support spring I reattached. It fixed the bad vibration I was getting and minimized the leaking although still not stopped. Thank you!!! Even Kenmore wouldn't help me AT ALL...it was "a liability issue" because my warranty was up!

Kenmore Washer only leaking from one area

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

Kenmore top loader leaking from bottom when loading

could be leaking from your drain pump seal, main tub seal which is between tub and tranny, also your outter tub could have a crack in it! i would remove the base to see inside and run it through a short cycle and see if you can pinpoint the leak

Kenmore washing machine is leaking water from the bottom left fro

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

See the section for the basket and tub assembly's

I'd pull the cabinet in order to get to the hoses going to and from the pump first.

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131

If the hoses are fine, I'd also check the gaskets at the bottom of the tub.

If you're reasonably mechanically inclined, these are easy fixes.

If you have to get to the gaskets at the bottom of the tub, see the following for how to remove the agitators, pump, motor, transmission, spin tube and basket.

(It sounds a bit complicated but it's not really that difficult.)

You don't have to buy a special spanner wrench to remove the spanner nut. I've used a short 10" pipe wrench hooked over one of the tabs on the spanner nut, tap the handle with a hammer and it should loosen.

Also, don't directly hit the drive block with a hammer. Use a short piece of wood under the drive block and tap up on the wood.

As an aside, see the following Whirlpool Service Manual for top load direct drive washers.

Depending on the problem (hoses or gasket) it's certainly less expensive than calling in a repair person.

Kenmore washer leaking water out bottom in rinse or spin cycle.

During drain and spin only A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details. All the time If the washer leaks all the time, check these: Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate. Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it. Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

Kenmore Oasis washer model 110.27032600; trapped hidden water

when you tipped the washer was the drain hose still attached? and if so was the drain hose elevated? most top load washers will have an amount of leftover water in the bottom of the tub. with the drain hose off and the washer tipped towards the rear you should lose any excess water. also try to open the top of the agitator to see if there is any water trapped there. hope this helps....

Water leak on occasion front load washer purchased around 2002/03

You need to remove the kick panel (under the front door). There are two screws at the very bottom of the kick panel, one in each corner.
This will give you visibility to see where the leak is coming from.
On the right hand side is the drain pump. The black hose goes from the pump, out the rear and into your drain pipe. It is secured by a clamp and is one possible source of leak.
If that connection is dry, look underneath the tub where the two parts, front and back of drum, come together. there is an o ring sealing the two sections and this is another source of water leak. (major problem is this is leaking)
Failing this you will just have to trace the source of the leak. You may have to take off the top of the washer to check the water inlet hoses which run on the top of the machine but would still show as a leak under the machine. Good luck.

Washer leaking water on floor

Need to check drain pump and its hose connections. If its not from the drum seal then that's usually where the leaks occur.
