Hi saly_60,
You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer Ifyou are connecting the device through a USB hub* or other USB device, disconnect it and try connecting directly to a USB port on thecomputer. If successful, the problem may have been with the device.
*Somescanners are powered by the USB connection. This is why connecting thescanner through another device, such as a USB hub, may prevent thescanner from communicating properly with the computer.

2. Check USB Connections
Youshould disconnect and reconnect the USB cable at both ends to ensurethere is a secure connection on the device side as well as the computerside. It may also be necessary to try a different USB port on thecomputer. Additionally, you may need to disconnect other USB devices, temporarily, in order to determine if a conflict exists.
.
- Disconnectone end of the cable and then reseat it ensuring the cable is firmlyseated into the USB port. If the USB cable is plugged into a hubinstead of directly into the computer, try connecting the USB cabledirectly into the computer.
- Repeat step one to reseat the cable on the other end.
- If there is still no communication, then it may be necessary to try a different USB cable or a different port on the computer.
- Make sure the correct USB cable type is being used.
