To resolve this issue perform the following:

  1. Click the Browse button on the error message.
  2. Browse through the CD to Drivers -> windows 2000_XP .
  3. Select the file hppcp504.cab , and click OK .
  4. The error message "The Software that you are trying to install has not passed the windows Logo Test " appears. Click Continue Anyway .
  5. If the error message "hpc20155.xml on HP LaserJet P2015 Series CD is needed " appears again, follow steps 1-3.
  6. The required files are copied, and the driver is installed and ready to use.
If the issue still persists then perform the following in the order listed before trying to reinstall the software.
  1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Windows Update.
  2. Set the option to Never search Windows Update for drivers .
NOTE: It is important to re-enable the Windows Update function after installing the printer software, otherwise the updates for all the other software on this computer will be blocked. After disabling Windows Update, complete the following steps. Be sure to reenable Windows update after installing the software:
  1. Disconnect the USB cable and remove the device listing from Device Manager
  2. Go to Start ->All programs ->HP ->P2015 ->Uninstall , "OR" Go to Add & Remove and check for the P2015 and uninstall .
  3. Then go to Printer & Faxes . Select the HP LJ P2015 icon and press the Delete button on the keyboard. After deleting the printer icon, go to File and Server properties . Go to Drivers tab and remove any P2015 drivers if listed.
  4. Also delete the following files/ folders C:\program files\HP\toolbox Fx or P2015 C:\documents & settings\app data\tool box Fx
  5. Run the scrubber.exe . Find this on the cd X:\utils\ccc\scrubber.exe & scrubber.ini NOTE: The Scrubber utility can also be downloaded from the web if the original installation CD is not available. However, it is only available as part of the full software installation package named hp_LJ_P2015_Full_Solution_AMWE.exe on hp.com . Once the files are extracted to a folder just open the util folder then the ccc folder and the scrubber.exe file will be visible.
  6. Paste these files at the following path and run the scrubber.exe C:\windows\system32\
  7. Empty the recycle bin
  8. Turn the printer back on.
  9. Now install the printer software again. Connect the communication cable to the PC and printer when prompted during the installation.

HP LaserJet 2430 Printer Will Not Print since USB Power Surge Error

INSUFFICIENT POWER - USB PORT
If you get an error message "Insufficient power to operate USB device" when you plug a USB device into the computer's USB port or the un-powered USB hub that is attached to the computer's USB port, then this device is drawing excessive current that the USB port cannot supply. The maximum output from an USB port is 500mA. In case such as this, you need to purchased a powered USB hub and connect this hub into the computer's USB port and then connect the USB device into this powered USB hub.

USB Port can preform faster error message

This is because you are plugging in a USB 2 device to a standard USB port, or a USB 3 device into a USB 2 port. The computer is just telling you that if you upgrade the hardware, the device will work faster. Its more of an information message than an error. Your device should still function fine.

Service error 9000

Error 9000 is a USB overcurrent error. Unplug the power cord, unplug the USB cable, and plug in the power cord. Leave the USB cable unplugged. Turn on the printer. If it still has the error, it needs a new logic board. Price of board exceeds cost of new machine.
If the unit comes ready, replace your USB cable.

Usb over current error 701

The USB port can only deliver aprox. 500mA. If your USB device such as a scanner etc. draws more current from the USB port then you will get this error message.
The solution is you use a powered USB device OR use a powered USB hub and connect this to the computer/laptop's USB port and then plug the USB device into the powered USB hub.

I keep getting the error message 'LSAdrv - Touch Sensor Error USb

Are you using a USB extension cable? I have found that you can use a 50' USB extension cable but if you connect 2 of the 50' extension cables together you receive this error. You can use Cables-to-go SuperBooster USB over CAT5e+. It will allow you to go over 100 feet and it has been tested and approved by Hitachi. This is the solution we used, or you can go wireless

" USB ERROR "

Hello kenwood12312,

With the receiver OFF, remove the USB device then turn the power ON. If the same display is repeated, use another USB device. Remove the USB device without entering the remove mode. If this does not work, try resetting the receiver. Press the "reset" button just above the AUX INPUT. This will return the unit to factory default settings. If these steps fail and you still get the USB error, the receiver is faulty and needs service.

Hope this helps.

Usb not recognised

Hello ak1979 ...

1. You're plugging in your Transend USB flash drive to your computer's USB port (as you've done many times successfully before with this SAME flash drive)?

2. It says "windows not recognise usb drive due to malfunction"?
a. Is that EXECTLY what the error says?
b. Is "it" an error dialog (window that pops up), or an error message from your Windows Event error logs? If a dialog, are there any pertinent error message entries in your Windows Event (System) log [Start > Run > type "eventvwr.msc" (without quotes), then "OK"]?

Try a bit of deductive troubleshooting:
  1. Restart (Reboot) your system [for a fresh start, if you will].
  2. Try plugging in your USB flash drive again, but in a DIFFERENT USB port.
  3. Try plugging in ANY OTHER "known good" USB device into the same USB port(s) used thus far that failed.
NOTE: If you EVER get any indication Windows recognizes the flash drive (like no error msg, or it shows in "My Computer"), IMMEDIATELY perform a "Check Disk" on it:
  1. Start > Run... > type "cmd" (without quotes), then "OK".
  2. Type "chkdsk DRIVE_LTR: /f" (without quotes), then hit "Enter" [where DRIVE_LTR is the drive letter of your USB drive]. EXAMPLE: chkdsk E: /f
Good luck, and please post back:
  • to provide any corrections/updates/clarifications.
  • if you have any further questions.
  • to let me know how things work out.
