My scanner driver will not work on vista
Hi alls, this is my solution for Benq Scanner 5250C under Win Vista and Win 7 [both 64bits and Ultimate version]; [sorry for my English Im Spanish]
- Disable signature verification of drivers;
* Start Menu à Run and type this command; bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON
- Restart the computer.
- Install this driver from Benq homepage; [scanner_sw_5250c_v6.3.zip]

Install it with Administrator privilege [right mouse button …] press yes when ask if you want install unsigned driver.
Run Mirascan driver, it say that not found any scanner, close this application, unplug the USB scanner and plug again the USB cord. Run again Mirascan … and calibration will start and all possibilities are ok.
Remember to enable the signature verification of drivers;
- Run; bcdedit /set nointegritychecks OFF
- Restart the PC.

My scanner driver doesn't work on vista
Use "Vuescan" a beautiful software supporting over 700 models of scanners including this one under Vista.
VUESCAN DOES NOT WORK with Benq 5250C. As soon as it opens it crashes. I have no idea how to solve this one. Emailed Benq, they answered that since they do not sell this product anymore, they WILL NOT issue any driver for it usable on Vista. Does this mean one can throy the machine away now? That would be a shame...

Let me tell you my experience. I've read in one of these many contributions that a person, after many attempts, changed the converter and... IT WORKED. I did the same, as a final attempt, and it worked. Now then, I used a multiple voltage converter with both polarities. I switched it to 12 V, positive in the centre. One more thing: trying to recover my universal AD/DC adaptor, I bought a 12 V, 1 A converter and IT DIDN'T WORK. So be patient

I have used a 4300U with XP and MiraScan 4.3 for many happy years. Having moved to Vista and found the problem, have downloaded MiraScan 6.3.5000 with no better luck.
