Mp3 problem Ok we bought this for our son its been working fine until yeserday it turns on but the meun doesnt come up the screen is blue with gray and if i hook it up to the computer i can get to the music but thats it? can you help me

Step 1:

The problem you have is the grayscale tracking needs to be reset.
First, This looks like a philips tv. In order to set the grayscale tracking remove the back of the set. There should be rectangular shaped box that is marked screen and focus on it with 6 knobs coming out of it.

Step 2:

NOTE: DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE THE SET-YOU WITH BE SHOCKED! WITH THE TV TURNED ON, WITH THE REMOTE, TURN DOWN THE COLOR TO ZERO. ON THE CONTROLS I PREVIOUSLY MMENTIONED, THERE ARE RED,GREEN AND BLUE ADJUSTMENT POTS.

Step 3:

TRY TURNING DOWN THE RED UNTIL YOU SEE A NORMAL GRAY PICTURE. YOU MAY HAVE TO ADD MORE GREEN OR BLUE AS NEEDED. IF THIS DOESNT LOOK RIGHT ,TURN ALL 3 R.G ANDB ALL THE WAY DOWN, THEN ADJUST THEM UNTIL THE COLOR IS JUST APPEARING ON THE SCREEN, MAKE THE PICTURE AS GRAY AS POSSIBLE. iF THIS DOESNT WORK,YOU WILL NEED A SERVICE PERSON TO REPAIR YOUR TV.

Hello. I have a solution for c4480 "incopatible cartrige". it worked for me so i hope it works for you to Steps: 1. Press X power at the same time 2. Press BLUE, GREEN, GRAY 3. press BLUE until you see "INFORMATION MENU" 4. press OK 5. Press Blue until you see "CHECKSUM FOR RELOCK DATA INPUT" 6. OK 7. Press X until you exit all menius 8. When promted for aliement cancel it with X. It should bypass the error.

My son lost the backing to hold the batteries in there spot where can I order a replacement???????

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button (It's the round button located on the device right below the screen) at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Sometimes just pressing the home button will bring you back to the home screen regardless of where you are on your iPod.

ok..idk if this will work but it might...first turn off the sansa...then turn the hold switch on (it should turn red). hold down the record button on the side of the player..then while still holding that hold the power button down...but keep holding them untill a screen shows up saying something about recovory mode..itll say to plug in the usb..u could do that..idk it that will work..it it doesnt instead of plugging in tthe usb in the computer..wait about 15 seconds after the recovory mode screen shows up and then hold down the power button for about 15-20 sec...then itll go all black (including the blue light) press the power button again like u would to turn it on...and everything should be back to normal..hope this helps...:)

To update the firmware of the M42xx mp3 player click hereand download the firmware. start the firmware and when it is runninplug the M42xx in at the same time holding down the PLAY BUTTON(center) until a white screen with a small computer with a line goingto your M42xx is displayed and then release the PLAY button. There is no repair service for a cracked screen - the whole player has to be replaced -sorry

ok, the same exact thing happened to me. i changed my batteries, and voila! its fixed !!!

P.S. if this doesnt work....your backlight might have a malfunction.
